Focus on Safety, Ensure Quality, and Welcome May Day | Zhang Guangda and his delegation conduct an in-depth inspection of the frontline work at the Yu-Xi Wide-Area Project.

The “Comprehensive Analysis Project on the Causes of Low Resistivity in the Longmaxi to Wufeng Formations in the Jiangye Exploration Well Area, Western Chongqing Block” is a key project undertaken by the Geophysical Exploration Institute in 2022. This project was initiated by Chongqing Shale Gas Exploration and Development Co., Ltd. to detect low resistivity zones in the Longmaxi to Wufeng Formations within the Jiangye Exploration Well Area of the Western Chongqing Block, comprehensively analyze favorable electrical parameter zones, provide technical support for shale gas well placement, enhance drilling success rates, reduce drilling risks, and ultimately determine the deployment of a wide-area electromagnetic exploration program. To further ensure the project’s safety and quality and to maintain production safety during the May Day holiday period, from April 26 to April 27, 2022, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, led the institute’s Chief Engineer Gu Zhiwen, geological experts, geophysical experts, as well as personnel from the Institute’s Technical Quality Department and Equipment Safety Supervision Department, to conduct an on-site inspection and oversee the project work firsthand.

Focusing on the integrated shale gas services sector, we are propelling geophysical exploration engineering to a new level.

On March 25, 2022, entrusted by Sichuan Shale Gas Exploration and Development Co., Ltd., our company’s pre-drilling electromagnetic exploration team for the Southern Sichuan Shale Gas Platform arrived in Luzhou County to conduct exploration of coal mine goaf areas surrounding three shale gas platforms near Luzhou County. The three platforms are located within Luzhou County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. The conditions of coal mine goafs and underground roadways in this region remain unclear. To thoroughly investigate and determine the distribution of coal mine goafs around these three platforms—particularly the size, scale, and orientation of mine tunnels and roadways—and thereby optimize drilling designs, mitigate drilling risks, prevent safety accidents and environmental pollution, and simultaneously explore hydrogeological conditions such as underground dark rivers and caves within the exploration area, our company designed a total of 23.5 kilometers of geophysical profile surveys and a 6 km² geological survey tailored to the specific conditions of each platform.
