Li Shirong attended the seminar on the application of new geophysical exploration methods for deep mineral exploration, hosted by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and Xinsun Mining.
On November 18, the seminar on the application research of new geophysical exploration methods for deep mineral exploration, jointly organized by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and Xinsun Mining, was held in Conference Room 2015 of Xinsun Mining Company. Li Shirong, member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of the Group, and Yang Yongpeng, Head of the Mining Technology Department of the Group, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Also in attendance were Shen Huanhua, Deputy General Manager of Xinsun Mining; Chen Genghu, Chief Engineer of Xinsun Mining; Yu Changheng, Deputy General Manager and CFO of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration; Gu Zhiwen, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Institute; as well as heads of relevant departments and experts from both sides.
At the meeting, Xinsun Mining introduced the basic information about mining areas such as Qingyang, as well as the major challenges they face and the pressing issues related to deep-sea mineral exploration. The Geophysical Exploration Institute focused on presenting the principles, characteristics, and application cases of various new methods and technologies for deep-sea mineral exploration. Subsequently, both sides engaged in a thorough and detailed discussion and finalized the plan for the next phase of exploratory trials aimed at tackling the challenges of deep-sea mineral exploration in the Qingyang mining area.
Li Shirong emphasized that the new round of mineral exploration cannot do without the support of geophysical exploration technologies. For geophysical exploration, the working parameters for mineral exploration differ from those for shale gas and oil & gas exploration, making it an even more promising area to explore. He expressed hope that the Institute of Geophysical Exploration could expand its business into the field of mine exploitation. Xinsun Mining has clear needs and rich practical experience in production, while the Institute of Geophysical Exploration boasts a large array of high-tech equipment and masterful expertise in specialized methods such as wide-field electromagnetic surveys, airborne geophysics, and seismic exploration. He hopes that the two sides will join forces in future mineral exploration efforts, fully leveraging their respective strengths and enhancing the conversion of scientific and technological achievements into productive capacity.
Next, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and Xinsun Mining will work closely together to continuously deepen their cooperation in scientific and technological innovation. We hope to leverage specific projects as a foundation to achieve joint breakthroughs in the Qingyang mining area and contribute to the next round of mineral exploration efforts.
