The Western Kunlun Mountains, stretching across southern Xinjiang, have an average elevation of over 5,000 meters and feature extreme conditions characterized by high altitude, low oxygen levels, and frigid temperatures. Yet on this land that most people would shy away from, the “Geophysical Exploration Vanguard” is taking the lead, using their footsteps as a measuring tool and their expertise as a sharp blade to tackle the lead-zinc ore exploration area in the Sanqu District of Jinyu Mountain, determined to lift the veil of mystery surrounding the underground lead-zinc deposits.

As the Sichuan Office of the Chinese Geophysical Society and one of the initiating organizations of the Sichuan Geophysical Society, the Institute accompanied a delegation from the Chinese Geophysical Society on a visit to Chengdu University of Technology for an exchange and symposium.

On September 3, a grand rally commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was solemnly held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized all its staff to watch the live broadcast of the rally together, collectively remembering history, honoring the martyrs, cherishing peace, and forging ahead into the future.

On August 25, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a tripartite exchange seminar together with the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society and the Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration of the Guizhou Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources. Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, chaired the meeting and participated in the exchange.

To thoroughly implement the requirements of the Party Committee’s inspection work within the Group and effectively transform the rectification of issues identified in the inspection into tangible results that enhance the quality of Party building and drive enterprise development, on August 26, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a mobilization and deployment meeting for inspection rectification, officially launching the inspection rectification efforts. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and General Manager, who also delivered a mobilizing speech. Members of the Institute’s leadership team, mid-level cadres, and secretaries of all Party branches attended the meeting.
