In the golden autumn of October, the weather is crisp and refreshing. The Second Congress of Party Members of China Communist Party Sichuan Zhongcheng Coalfield Geophysical Exploration Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. was solemnly held in Chengdu on October 10. Li Shirong, a member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group; Bai Changzheng, Deputy Head of the Party Committee’s Organization Department; and Sun Xia, Deputy Head of the Party Committee’s Work Department, attended the meeting to provide guidance. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, presided over the meeting. A total of 35 Party members from the Geophysical Exploration Institute, along with department heads, prospective Party members, and employee representatives—altogether 11 attending delegates—participated in the meeting.

In Longtou Township, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 30-year-old geophysical exploration engineer Liu Lei is leading his colleagues in on-site data collection operations. Although October should be a season of crisp autumn weather, the work area still swelters under temperatures of 35°C, leaving everyone working on site soaked to the bone with sweat.

Employees based in Chengdu and field personnel participated via video link from the main venue connected to the project departments.

Immediately after the outbreak of this round of the epidemic, the Geophysical Exploration Institute activated its emergency response plan.
