The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a meeting to elect delegates to the First Session of the Group’s Trade Union Members’ Congress and the Employees’ Congress.
On October 25, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration attended the first session of the Group’s Trade Union Members’ Congress and the Election Conference for Delegates to the Employees’ Congress, held in Chengdu. A total of 60 trade union members, including Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, participated in the election conference. The conference was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.
At the meeting, the union members of the Geophysical Exploration Institute unanimously approved—by a show of hands—the “Draft Regulations on the Election of the Members’ Congress of Sichuan Zhongcheng Coalfield Geophysical Exploration Engineering Institute Co., Ltd.” as well as the list of poll watchers.
Subsequently, all participants cast their votes one by one by secret ballot. In accordance with the provisions of the “Election Procedures” and based on the vote count results, Zhang Guangda, Zou Zhongping, and Zhou Huiying were elected as delegates to the First Session of the Group’s Trade Union Members’ Congress and Employees’ Congress.
In this election of member representatives, the Geophysical Exploration Institute strictly followed the procedures stipulated in the "Trade Union Law" and the "Regulations on the Election of Grassroots Trade Union Organizations," as well as the proportion of representatives proposed by the Group’s trade union. Fully upholding democratic principles, the Institute adopted a bottom-up approach—starting from individual departments and trade union groups—through thorough deliberation and democratic consultation to recommend and nominate candidates. Based on the results of these recommendations and nominations, the Institute’s trade union and the organization and personnel department jointly formulated a preliminary list of candidate nominees. After soliciting opinions from all departments, trade union groups, and the Institute’s discipline inspection and supervision department, and after the Party and Mass Work Department had conducted the necessary qualification reviews of the preliminary nominee candidates without objection, the list was publicly announced within the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
The recent union election was a complete success, fully demonstrating the sense of ownership among the staff of the Geophysical Exploration Institute and effectively safeguarding the democratic rights of all employees. Moving forward, the Institute’s union will, as always, keep in mind the expectations of the vast majority of employees, work diligently and conscientiously, and ensure that union activities are carried out thoroughly, meticulously, and effectively. Under the strong leadership of the Group Party Committee, the Group Union, and the Institute’s Party Branch Committee, we will bravely embrace our historical mission, vigorously pursue reform and innovation, and unite and mobilize all employees to make even greater contributions to the new journey of high-quality development for both the Group and the Geophysical Exploration Institute!
