From March 19 to 20, the trial results of the “Wide-Area Electromagnetic Survey Project for Wells Zu201–Zu203 in the Western Chongqing Block of the Sichuan Basin,” undertaken by the Geophysical Exploration Institute, and the results of the “Wide-Area Electromagnetic Survey Project on Electrical Property Variations from Longmaxi to Wufeng Formation in the Qitangchang Syncline of the Western Chongqing Block” were successfully reviewed. Experts from units including the Southwest Oil & Gas Field Branch of China National Petroleum Corporation, the Gas Field Development Management Department, and Chongqing Shale Gas Company participated in the review.

On March 1, a technical exchange meeting on electromagnetic exploration techniques, featuring scientists, chief geophysical experts, and core engineers, was successfully held in Chengdu. The technical exchange meeting was organized by the Mineral Resources and Technological Innovation Department of the Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group and hosted by the Institute of Geophysics. Comrade Xue Guoqiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Geophysical Society and Researcher at the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was invited to deliver an academic report. More than 60 participants, including leaders from the Group’s sister units, geophysical experts, and geophysical engineers, attended the meeting. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysics, presided over the meeting.

More than 60 participants attended the meeting, including members of the institute’s leadership team, members of the Party branch committee, senior managers, heads of relevant departments, and employees based in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, member of the Party branch committee of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Financial Officer.
