On April 15, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration welcomed a research team of five members, including Wang Yongfeng, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Institute of Land and Resources Science and Technology (Provincial Satellite Application Technology Center) — hereinafter referred to as “the Provincial Institute of Land and Resources” — as well as Yu Xiangke, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on enhancing mutual understanding, identifying potential areas for cooperation, cultivating scientific and technological talent, and providing technical support for the new round of strategic initiatives aimed at achieving breakthroughs in mineral exploration. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, and Yu Changheng, a member of the Party Branch Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Financial Officer, attended the meeting.

Before the meeting, Wang Yongfeng and his delegation visited the geophysical exploration institute’s promotional display boards. Yu Changheng provided a detailed introduction to the establishment of the “One Station and Four Labs” technology innovation platform and the R&D and application of four core technologies.

At the symposium, Zhang Guangda welcomed the delegation from the Provincial Institute of Land and Resources Research and provided an overview of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, including its profile, talent development efforts, scientific and technological innovation initiatives, and business areas. He noted that the Provincial Institute of Land and Resources Research boasts extensive experience in land surveys and remote sensing data application services, as well as strong research capabilities. He expressed hope that the two institutions could engage in deeper cooperation in the future, particularly in joint research project initiation and other collaborative endeavors.

Wang Yongfeng expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration. He provided an overview of the Provincial Institute of Land and Resources Research’s development journey, its core business sectors, and the construction of its science and technology innovation platforms. He noted that the two institutions share many similarities in terms of personnel structure and team building, and also possess vast potential for cooperation, particularly in technical expertise—especially in the fields of oil and gas exploration and mineral resource discovery.

The participants from both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion and exchange on topics such as the management and operational model of the innovation platform, incentive mechanisms for research teams, and brand building.

The two organizations will take this exchange as a starting point to establish a regular exchange mechanism, engaging in mutual learning, sharing resources, and focusing on areas such as cultivating high-level talent, applying advanced technologies, and commercializing research findings. This will further promote practical cooperation, foster mutual advancement and complementary win-win outcomes, and build momentum and empower the acceleration of developing new-quality productivity in the mineral exploration sector.
