The Geophysical Exploration Institute and Chongqing Shale Gas Company Conduct Technical Exchange
Recently, Gu Zhiwen, a member of the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, led a team in conducting an in-depth exchange with Chongqing Shale Gas Company on technologies such as holographic electromagnetic methods and oil-and-gas logging, further exploring the potential for future cooperation between the two sides in the field of oil-and-gas exploration and development.

On February 12, Gu Zhiwen, a member of the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, led a team to Hunan Jishan Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. for an exchange on fracturing monitoring technology. Yan Xiaohua, Executive Deputy General Manager of Jishan Hi-Tech, joined the meeting along with the fracturing monitoring interpretation team. Zhang Guangda, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society, and Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch Committee and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, participated via video conference. The meeting focused on current technological shortcomings in fracturing monitoring, enhancing services to meet client needs, addressing technical challenges, as well as an in-depth discussion on the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s regional fracturing monitoring projects for 2024 and future development directions for fracturing monitoring.

On February 1, the fourth day of the first lunar month, just as the Spring Festival holiday was still underway, the Geophysical Exploration Institute (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) sounded the call to resume work and production. Despite weather-related challenges, project teams have returned to their posts in an orderly manner and fully implemented safety inspections and checks to ensure a smooth resumption of operations.
