“Reading for Dreams, Smartly Pooling Resources” Themed Book Sharing Event and “Encountering the Most Beautiful Her” Women Employees’ Symposium and Exchange Meeting—Geophysical Exploration Institute Launches a Series of Activities for International Women’s Day (March 8)
To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, and to continue enriching the spiritual and cultural lives of female employees through the “Rose and Book Fragrance” initiative, the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute meticulously organized a reading-sharing event themed “Reading for Dreams, Harnessing Intellectual Resources,” along with a symposium titled “Encountering the Most Beautiful Her,” on March 7. Zou Zhongping, Chairman of the Institute’s Trade Union, joined all female employees working in Chengdu to participate in the event.
At the symposium, after carefully listening to the voices of the female employees and gaining a thorough understanding of their work situations, Zou Zhongping extended festive greetings and best wishes to all the female employees. He fully recognized and praised the outstanding contributions made by all the female employees in their respective positions, and encouraged them to continue shining brightly in their future work and lives, contributing even more significantly to the development of the organization.
During the themed book-sharing session, Zou Zhongping, representing the institute’s union, presented each female employee with a copy of “Dear Daughter,” encouraging them to love reading and to read good books. Afterwards, each female employee recommended her favorite book and, drawing on her own work and life experiences, shared some beautifully written passages from the book as well as her personal reflections on reading.

The DIY succulent plant activity was the highlight of this event. The female employees sat together in a circle, fully tapping into their creativity and imagination as they filled pots with soil, mixed colors, planted succulents, and added decorative touches... The atmosphere at the scene was relaxed and joyful, filled with constant laughter and cheerful chatter.

This “March 8” event not only provided female employees with a platform for communication and learning, but also further ignited their enthusiasm for reading. Through the event, female employees were able to relax and rejuvenate, savor the joy of the holiday, and at the same time, strengthen their sense of team cohesion and solidarity.
