On April 24, the Geophysical Exploration Institute, representing Sichuan Resources Group, participated in the preliminary round of the “State-Owned Enterprises Heart to the Party—Youth Create the Future” innovation and efficiency competition for young employees in state-owned enterprises, organized by the Sichuan Provincial Enterprise League Committee. On April 22, leaders and staff from the New Economy and Technology Bureau of Qingyang District, Chengdu, and the Chengdu Productivity Promotion Center visited the Institute of Geophysical Exploration to conduct a special research study. They provided policy guidance and facilitated resource matching around key tasks such as applying for the construction of a pilot R&D platform for geophysical exploration of shale gas in Sichuan Province and submitting applications for provincial-level science and technology tackling projects, thereby helping the Institute of Geophysical Exploration enhance the capabilities of its science and technology innovation platform.

On April 18, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held the second (expanded) study session for the Party Committee’s theoretical study center group in 2025, as well as the closing ceremony of the study and education workshop on thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Government’s Eight-Point Regulations. The meeting was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union. Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and General Manager, delivered a concluding speech. Members of the Institute’s Party Committee’s theoretical study center group and mid-level cadres attended the meeting.

Following the unified deployment of the Party Committee of the Group regarding inspection work, on April 14, the mobilization meeting for the first inspection team of the Group’s Party Committee to inspect the Party Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute was held in Chengdu. A total of 47 people attended the meeting, including members of the leadership team of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, senior managers, mid-level cadres, representatives of some employees, and representatives of retired employees. Prior to the meeting, the inspection team held a briefing session with the institute’s top leaders to communicate and brief them on the relevant work arrangements.

Since January 2025, at the client’s request, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has dispatched a number of experienced technical specialists in geology, geophysics, and related fields to carry out a comprehensive survey of hidden disaster-causing factors in certain coal mines in Linshui County, Guang'an City. The survey has yielded remarkable results, helping to shift mine safety management toward “proactive prevention” and laying a solid foundation for safe mining operations.
