On June 3, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and Hunan Jishan High-Tech Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Chengdu, Sichuan, for the joint establishment of the Geophysical Innovation Center and the Southwest Processing and Interpretation Center for Oil-and-Gas Electromagnetic Fracturing Monitoring. Over the past decade, the two parties have collaborated closely, achieving remarkable results in areas such as equipment development, software innovation, and academic research, thereby providing solid support for the development of industries including oil-and-gas exploration.
At the signing ceremony, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration elaborated in detail on the construction plan and development path for the Science and Technology Innovation Center and the Processing & Interpretation Center, proposing the establishment of a comprehensive, end-to-end innovation system—centered on electromagnetic fracturing monitoring technology—that covers data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and application transformation. Jishan High-Tech, in turn, shared its cutting-edge achievements in geophysical exploration technologies, particularly its practical experience in using electromagnetic fracturing monitoring technology to precisely capture the dynamics of underground oil and gas reservoirs and optimize extraction strategies. The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on the industrial application of electromagnetic fracturing monitoring technology and the development of large-scale geological models, clearly defining their joint efforts to tackle core challenges in oil and gas exploration and production, with the goals of "reducing costs, enhancing efficiency, and achieving technological breakthroughs."
Both parties will leverage the jointly built platform to integrate their technological, talent, and resource advantages, creating a highland of industrial innovation that combines technology R&D, talent cultivation, and成果转化. This will help propel key technologies such as electromagnetic fracturing monitoring from the laboratory stage toward industrialization, and from large-scale deployment to refined operations, thereby providing technological support for the high-quality development of China’s oil and gas industry.
This signing marks a new milestone in the cooperation between the two parties in the fields of geophysical technology and oil-and-gas exploration. Moving forward, they will leverage the science and innovation center as a key link to continuously unleash innovative vitality and help the oil-and-gas industry achieve breakthroughs in its digital and intelligent transformation.
