Youth Day | Inheriting the Spirit of Model Workers and Uniting Youthful Energy
On May 4, with bright sunshine, a clear blue sky dotted with white clouds, and pleasantly mild weather, the young employees of the Geophysical Exploration Institute enthusiastically gathered at the Daoxiang Yugge Campground. To mark the "May Fourth" Youth Day, they organized a team-building event for young staff members under the theme “Carrying Forward the Spirit of Model Workers and Uniting Youthful Energy.”

To vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, in conjunction with the “May Day” theme, selected the “Model Workers” for 2022. On the morning of March 9, Peng Hua, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Qingyang District Federation of Trade Unions and Secretary of the Organs’ Party Committee, along with Ye Bing, Vice Chairman of the Caotang Subdistrict Federation of Trade Unions, and their delegation, visited the Sichuan Institute of Geophysical Exploration to conduct a working exchange. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute, as well as other members of the institute’s leadership team based in Chengdu, attended the exchange.

To foster a harmonious corporate culture and demonstrate humanistic care, and to enable all female colleagues at the Geophysical Exploration Institute to spend the annual “March 8 International Women’s Day” in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, the Institute’s Women’s Committee organized a reading and knowledge-quiz activity for all female employees under the theme “Roses and Books—Sharing the Joy of Reading.” This initiative received an enthusiastic response and active participation from all female staff members across the Institute.

On November 18, 2022, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, attended, as a representative of grassroots trade union workers, a symposium on the comprehensive implementation of the main responsibility for strict Party governance within the trade union system, organized by the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions at the headquarters of the Sichuan Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group. During the symposium, he also delivered a work report on the Institute of Geophysical Exploration to the research team.
