On the morning of July 1, Li Shirong, a member of the Party Committee and Chief Engineer of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group, led a team to the Institute of Geophysical Exploration to deliver a briefing on the spirit of the 12th Provincial Party Congress. The leadership team of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, members of the Party Branch Committee, Party members and active candidates based in Chengdu, as well as employee representatives, attended the meeting. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, presided over the meeting.

On June 30, just before the Party’s birthday, the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a celebration meeting to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and to honor outstanding Party members on “July 1.” Attending the meeting were the leadership team of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, members of the Party Branch Committee, mid-level cadres, and all Party members based in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.

Since the onset of summer, high-temperature weather has been increasing in the Sichuan Basin and surrounding areas. Particularly in recent times, the sun has been blazing fiercely and heatwaves have been rolling in, posing significant challenges to the fieldwork projects of the Geophysical Exploration Institute. Despite these extreme temperatures, the institute’s staff continue to remain steadfast at their posts, displaying high spirits and a serious work ethic.

Entrusted by Sichuan Changning Natural Gas Development Co., Ltd., the Geophysical Exploration Institute is conducting a wide-area electromagnetic survey targeting deep exploration and blind-structure detection in the Daba Sweet Spot of the Changning Block. The survey aims to characterize the variations in wide-area apparent resistivity of the target strata, providing technical support data for the subsequent shale gas platform drilling studies.
