Party Building | The Geophysical Exploration Institute is fully committed to supporting epidemic prevention and control.
On September 1, 2022, the Chengdu Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Command issued the latest epidemic prevention notice. In accordance with the content of the notice and the requirements of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group, the Party Branch of the Geophysical Exploration Institute attached great importance to the matter, made timely arrangements, and organized all employees to carry out a series of epidemic prevention measures in an orderly manner.
First, employees working in Chengdu must strictly follow Chengdu’s epidemic prevention requirements: they should proactively undergo nucleic acid testing at scheduled times in their respective subdistricts and communities, and promptly report their test results to the hospital’s Equipment Safety and Supervision Department. During the period of working from home, all cadres and employees, apart from purchasing essential daily necessities as usual, must not leave their residential compounds under any circumstances, nor should they visit neighbors casually or engage in idle chatter, or interfere with the work of police officers and community workers.

Second, we must strictly implement epidemic prevention measures for all projects. Given the severe COVID-19 situation in Chengdu, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has instructed all project offices outside Chengdu to closely monitor the travel itineraries of their staff and temporarily refrain from returning to Chengdu. In accordance with local epidemic prevention requirements, we will promptly contact medical personnel to conduct nucleic acid testing on frontline field workers at the project sites, ensuring the health and safety of all project personnel.

Next, they actively participated in community epidemic prevention efforts. To promptly complete nucleic acid testing for all residents and thoroughly win the battle against the pandemic, employees of the Geophysical Exploration Institute eagerly volunteered and wholeheartedly threw themselves into epidemic prevention work. Among them, Zhao Yi, an employee from the institute’s office, heard on September 1st that the community was short-staffed and immediately reached out to the community, volunteering to join the Yulin East Road Community in Chengdu’s Wuhou District. He assisted the community by posting epidemic prevention notices, setting up testing stations, and organizing citizens to undergo nucleic acid testing in an orderly manner. Due to the heavy workload of nucleic acid testing that day, Zhao Yi and other volunteers stayed at their posts until early the next morning, only returning home to rest after finishing all their tasks for the day. Their selfless dedication has brought about orderly and healthy lives for the residents.

The epidemic is merciless, but people are full of compassion. During this particularly challenging and difficult time, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to diligently carry out epidemic prevention publicity, constantly enhancing employees’ awareness of epidemic control, and contributing our part to the nation’s epidemic prevention efforts.
