Discipline Inspection and Supervision | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Conducts Integrity and Warning Education Talks with Young Cadres Born in the 1980s
On August 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a disciplinary warning and education meeting for young cadres born in the 1980s. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the Institute, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary and Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, engaged in collective talks and warnings with the young cadres born in the 1980s, guiding them to become loyal and reliable officials trusted by both the Party and the people.
Zou Zhongping shared the article “Guiding Young Cadres to Fasten the First Button” published on the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, and reported on nine typical cases involving violations of discipline and law among those born in the 1980s and 1990s. He conducted an in-depth analysis of the root causes behind these disciplinary and legal violations, vividly illustrating the dire consequences and tragic lessons learned from such misconduct. This was done to serve as a powerful warning and reminder, enabling young cadres at the Geophysical Exploration Institute to take these cases as negative examples, constantly practicing self-discipline, self-reflection, and self-alertness, firmly upholding the boundaries of law and discipline, and building themselves into individuals who are morally incorruptible and professionally resilient.
Zhang Guangda emphasized that everyone must always keep the string of integrity and self-discipline taut, maintain a clear head, hold themselves to strict standards, perform their duties with integrity and without incident, grow healthily and stay on track, and live up to the trust placed in them by the organization and the expectations of their colleagues. He also put forward three key requirements: First, we must firmly uphold our political stance of “observing discipline and adhering to rules,” and, based on the realities of our respective departments, further identify and address gaps, establish and improve relevant systems and regulations, and truly set up rules and enforce discipline rigorously. Second, we must take the lead in carefully weighing the “future prospects,” “financial accounts,” “reputation,” “freedom,” and “health” aspects of our lives. Third, we must consistently strive to be role models in fulfilling our duties and responsibilities, maintaining the vigor and pioneering spirit of youth, continuously enhancing our sense of responsibility at work, and remaining as committed as ever to our endeavors.
Conducting integrity and cautionary education for young cadres born in the 1980s is a powerful measure taken by the Party Branch of the Geophysical Exploration Institute to implement the Group’s key points for discipline inspection and supervision work in 2022 and to promote reform through case-based lessons. Moving forward, the Party Branch of the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to strengthen the education and management of young cadres, guiding them to start businesses with integrity and operate in compliance with regulations, thus fastening the “first button” of honest governance. By harnessing the vigor of youth, we will foster an atmosphere of integrity and, with an even more vigorous and proactive attitude, advance the high-quality development of both the Group and the Geophysical Exploration Institute. With practical achievements and outstanding performance, we will warmly welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
