On April 30, on the eve of the International Labor Day on May 1, Sun Huili, a member of the Party Committee of Caotang Subdistrict and Secretary of the Party Committee of the subdistrict’s government office, led a delegation representing the Qingyang District Federation of Trade Unions and the Caotang Subdistrict Federation of Trade Unions to hold a 2024 “May Day” symposium for model workers and skilled craftsmen at the Institute of Geophysical Exploration. During the event, they extended condolences to four “Qingyang Craftsmen” from the institute and presented each craftsman with flowers and gifts of appreciation.

2024 marks the 55th World Earth Day. On April 19, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, in collaboration with Chengdu University of Technology and Beijing Juedeng Geophysical Exploration Co., Ltd., conducted a trial flight test of the UFO-AirE semi-airborne transient electromagnetic system at the Tongxiang Flight Base in Dayi County, Chengdu. The purpose of this test is to explore new airborne geophysical technologies and lay a technological foundation for the Institute of Geophysical Exploration to develop new forms of productive forces.
