On May 31, Sichuan Resources Group solemnly held a commendation ceremony to honor model workers, young skilled workers, and worker pioneer teams.

Liu Jinhui from the Geophysical Exploration Institute was awarded the “Sichuan Province May Day Labor Medal”; Yu Changheng was awarded the Group’s “Model Worker” title; and the Electromagnetic Exploration Department was honored with the Group’s “Pioneer Worker” title.

I have successively led more than 40 major projects in technical fields such as oil and gas exploration, mineral resource prospecting, and engineering geophysical surveys. I have conducted geophysical profile surveys covering over 5,500 kilometers, identified more than 300 low-production risk zones for shale gas, delineated over 60 target areas for solid minerals, over 30 geothermal target areas, and more than 100 favorable zones for oil and gas exploration. Additionally, I have predicted geological risks at over 100 railway and highway tunnels. I have also led the preparation of over 80 geophysical technical reports, five of which were recognized as outstanding achievements. I have published eight academic papers, obtained seven patents, and secured four software copyrights.

He has successively led more than 50 major engineering and research projects in technical fields such as oil and gas exploration, mineral resource exploration, and engineering geophysical prospecting. He has published 12 papers, obtained 6 invention patents, 9 utility model patents, and 7 software copyrights; and has received 3 first-class and 1 second-class National Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress, as well as 4 science and technology awards at the provincial and municipal levels.

Group Worker Pioneer Team – Electromagnetic Exploration Department

The Electromagnetic Exploration Department of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has been actively engaged in the exploration and development of national strategic minerals and shale gas. The department has successfully completed several key projects, including 3D induced polarization surveys for the Huoyan Yun lead-zinc mine in Hotan, Xinjiang—located at an average elevation of 5,600 meters—and the polymetallic mine in Tibet. Additionally, the department undertook geophysical exploration tasks for 188 shale gas drilling platforms and 842 wells in southern Sichuan. Furthermore, the department conducted focused research and pilot tests on areas where early-stage shale gas development had insufficient reservoir stimulation and where remaining reserves remained untapped. As a result, a comprehensive set of advanced electromagnetic exploration technologies has been developed, enabling precise identification of residual resources in densely drilled areas and providing crucial technical support. The department has obtained six invention patents, nine utility model patents, seven software copyrights, two innovative achievements, and one approved monograph. Moreover, it has received nine various honors and awards.
