Remembering the History of the War of Resistance and Gathering the Strength to Forge Ahead—The Geophysical Exploration Institute Organizes a Visit to a Special Exhibition on the War of Resistance
On November 25, in order to deeply commemorate the revolutionary martyrs and carry forward the red gene, the Geophysical Exploration Institute organized its employees to visit the Sichuan Museum and view the special exhibition “Great Victory: The Contributions of Sichuan and Chongqing—Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.” This event aims to enable employees, through immersive learning, to profoundly appreciate the tremendous sacrifices and outstanding contributions made by the sons and daughters of Sichuan and Chongqing during the War of Resistance, further engrave the history of the War of Resistance in their hearts, and rally powerful forces for forging ahead in the new era.

At the special exhibition, one precious historical photograph after another, artifact after artifact bearing the marks of time, and vividly recreated scenes seemed to transport everyone back to those turbulent years of the War of Resistance, when flames of war burned fiercely across the land. From the heroic scenes of the Sichuan Army bravely fighting to the death as it marched out of Sichuan, to the touching stories of the Sichuan-Chongqing region serving as the rear base and providing vital support to the front lines—whether it was the resolute figures of intellectuals joining the movement to save the nation and preserve its existence, or the selfless dedication of ordinary people who donated money and goods to aid the war effort—each chapter deeply moved the employees present. When they saw in the exhibition countless sons and daughters of Sichuan and Chongqing, clad in thin clothes and wearing straw sandals, heading to the front lines armed with rudimentary weapons yet displaying unparalleled courage and fearlessness on the battlefield—so much so that it was said, “No army could be formed without Sichuan”—many employees found tears welling up in their eyes. Everyone expressed that although they had previously been aware of the contributions made by the people of Sichuan and Chongqing during the War of Resistance, this was the first time they had experienced such a direct and comprehensive understanding. They profoundly realized the weight of that historical period and the greatness of the spirit of national resistance shared by all Chinese people.

Organizing this visit to the special exhibition on the War of Resistance is one of the key initiatives undertaken by the Geophysical Exploration Institute to promote patriotic education and Party history learning. Moving forward, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to innovate its learning methods and enrich its content, guiding all employees to draw wisdom and strength from history, infuse the great spirit of the War of Resistance into their daily work, and, with firm ideals and a vigorous spirit, propel the Institute’s various undertakings to new heights, thereby contributing the Institute’s expertise and efforts to realizing the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
