The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held the fifth (expanded) study session of the Party Committee’s Theory Study Center Group for 2025.
On November 26, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held the fifth expanded study session for the Party Committee’s theoretical study center group in 2025. Members of the company’s leadership team, secretaries of party branches based in Chengdu, and mid-level cadres attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Chairman of the Trade Union. Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, delivered a concluding speech.
The meeting studied selected chapters from Volume I of “Xi Jinping: Selected Works on Economics,” the “Outline for Studying Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture,” Volume V of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China,” and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on the reform and development of state-owned enterprises and Party building. It also conveyed and studied the “Rules for Study by the Theoretical Study Groups of Party Committees (Party Leading Groups) of the Communist Party of China” as well as relevant regulations issued by the Group. Members of the study group conducted in-depth discussions centered around the theme “Deeply Study and Innovate Theoretical Insights, Hone Practical Competence and Responsibility, and Empower the High-Quality Development of Geophysical Exploration.” These discussions were closely linked to the actual work of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.
● Meeting Requirements
First, we must continue to deepen our theoretical study and solidify our ideological foundation. We need to accurately identify the direction of development for geophysical exploration, deeply grasp the core essence of “strengthening, optimizing, and expanding state-owned capital and state-owned enterprises,” and integrate Xi Jinping’s economic and cultural thoughts into every aspect of geophysical exploration work. By arming ourselves with theory, we can enhance our strategic judgment, thinking ability, and practical competence, thereby providing a robust ideological guarantee for the development of our cause.
Second, we must focus on our core tasks and coordinate the advancement of both short-term and long-term efforts. We should seamlessly integrate the completion of this year’s tasks with the planning for next year’s work, embedding the outcomes of our learning into key initiatives such as tackling critical projects, achieving breakthroughs in technological innovation, building a strong talent pool, and enhancing management quality and efficiency—thus laying a solid foundation for formulating the company’s “15th Five-Year” plan.
Third, we must strengthen work style development and refine the implementation of responsibilities. Cadres at all levels should take the lead in cultivating a pragmatic and action-oriented work style, persistently promote the rectification of inspection findings, and routinely and thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulations. This will help foster a clean and upright political environment and enable the Group to accelerate its progress toward becoming a “five first-class” enterprise, contributing geophysical exploration expertise to this endeavor.
