The Geophysical Exploration Institute is making concerted efforts across multiple fronts to sprint through the fourth quarter and secure victory in achieving this year’s goals and tasks.
Party building leads the way, uniting a “red synergy” to tackle tough challenges.
As we enter the critical final quarter—a decisive phase for securing victory—The Geophysical Exploration Institute promptly convened a special study session to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party, and comprehensively publicize the spirit of the Group’s First Party Congress. We are taking the “Great Cycle, Great Campaign, Great Enhancement” initiative as our key approach to tackling tough challenges, guiding all cadres and employees to align their thinking and actions with the goals and tasks for the final quarter. This will foster a strong consensus across all levels—uniting everyone in shared determination to overcome difficulties—and provide robust political leadership to accelerate our efforts toward achieving this year’s targets. It will also lay a solid ideological foundation for propelling the Group to fully speed up the construction of a “Five First-Class” enterprise.
Driven by technological innovation, we continue to deepen our exploration in cutting-edge fields.
Recently, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has frequently appeared on top industry platforms such as the China International Mining Conference, the International Conference on Oil and Gas Exploration Technologies, the Joint Academic Annual Meeting of Chinese Earth Sciences, and the National Natural Gas Academic Annual Meeting. Several key technical experts have been invited to deliver special keynote reports, showcasing their innovative achievements in complex geological exploration and highlighting their outstanding technological innovation capabilities within the industry.
She has successively won the First Prize in the 2025 “State-Owned Enterprises: Hearts Focused on the Party, Youth Creating the Future” Competition for Young Innovators and Achievers in State-Owned Enterprises; the Second Prize for Outstanding Paper at the National Natural Gas Academic Annual Conference; the Third Prize for Innovative Achievements in Modernizing Enterprise Management of Nonferrous Metals in 2025; and the Excellence Award in the 10th “Maker China” Sichuan Province SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (Enterprise Group).
Meanwhile, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has strengthened its deepened industry-academia-research cooperation with numerous universities, promoting the practical application of cutting-edge technologies from the Academician Workstations and providing precise, intelligent support for oil and gas exploration. Particularly encouraging is the Institute’s recent successful accreditation as a Sichuan Provincial Enterprise Technology Center and one of the first “Sichuan Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Stations,” which will further establish the Institute as a hub for attracting top-tier talent and continuously inject intellectual momentum into future technological breakthroughs and the commercialization of research outcomes.
Tackling tough projects and fighting on multiple fronts to achieve “accelerated” progress.
Since the fourth quarter, all project sites at the Geophysical Exploration Institute have fully entered a sprint phase characterized by "visualized management and reverse scheduling," presenting an encouraging trend of simultaneous progress across multiple fronts.
In the Sichuan region, technical personnel working in the Yibin coal and coalbed methane exploration area braved hardships and ventured deep into the mountains to trace the veins of these resources. At the Xingwen fracturing monitoring site, the engineering and technical team maintained a 24-hour rotating shift schedule, ensuring that fracturing operations continued day and night without interruption. The Weiyuan soil and water conservation monitoring team battled wind and cold, traveling through ravines, forests, and fields to collect vital data. In the Hanyuan seismic safety assessment project, the team refined core technologies, closely integrating processes such as seismic motion parameter zoning and site-specific seismic response analysis to enhance the reliability of assessment results. The Hongya two-dimensional seismic exploration project, guided by the goals of "preserving accuracy, improving efficiency, and optimizing plans," carried out seismic processing, interpretation, and well-site feasibility studies. In Guizhou, the Weineng karst exploration project employed a semi-airborne transient electromagnetic method—a groundbreaking approach combining "surface source deployment with drone-based reception"—to overcome the challenges of complex karst terrain exploration. In Guangxi, the Nanning wind power exploration project leveraged the technicians’ exceptional professional expertise to precisely map every piece of terrain. In Xinjiang, immediately after completing field acceptance of the Jinyushan exploration project, the team swiftly moved on to the indoor data-analysis phase, ensuring timely submission of the exploration results report. In Central Asia, the Tajikistan project’s technical team operated equipment deep underground, using downhole television cameras to conduct comprehensive and meticulous inspections of well conditions while simultaneously capturing and fully documenting critical imaging data. Meanwhile, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has officially launched the National Key Science and Technology Major Project for Deep Earth Exploration. This initiative will focus on selecting demonstration zones and constructing field test sites in the southern Sichuan region, providing foundational technical support for the standardization and development of downhole geophysical instruments and establishing a long-term, open, and shared experimental platform.
From the southwestern mountainous regions to the northwestern Gobi Desert and beyond to foreign countries, geophysical exploration professionals are pressing ahead with a sense of urgency—“Time waits for no one; we must seize every moment”—to ensure that all projects are implemented efficiently according to schedule.
Key projects lay a solid foundation for resource development.

As the top priority for the year’s work, the Hongge South Vanadium-Titanium Magnetite Mining Development and Utilization Project is steadily advancing. Core tasks—including water resource assessment, reservoir decommissioning, and flood discharge feasibility studies—are all proceeding according to schedule, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development of strategic mineral resources. Meanwhile, the concealed hazard survey project for the western mining area and spoil yard of the Songshu Nan Gou Gold Mine is under intense construction. The technical team is meticulously carrying out exploration operations in strict compliance with safety regulations, comprehensively identifying potential geological hazards and providing scientific data support for safe and efficient mine production.
Unite our hearts and pool our strengths to secure a stellar performance for the year.

The Geophysical Exploration Institute takes Party building as its guiding principle to lay a solid foundation, leverages scientific and technological innovation as its driving force to boost momentum, and focuses on projects as the key to ensuring effective implementation. In the fourth-quarter sprint, the institute is demonstrating a strong, determined spirit of tackling tough challenges. All staff members will translate their study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the Group’s First Party Congress into tangible achievements in their work and entrepreneurship. With the tenacity of “never letting go of our grip on the green hills” and the drive to “strive for excellence in everything we do,” we will fight hard in the fourth quarter and secure victory for the entire year, contributing our geophysical exploration expertise to the Group’s high-quality development and energetically writing a new chapter in serving the nation’s energy and resource security strategy.
