Building a socially responsible enterprise | The Geophysical Exploration Institute promotes the integration of industry, academia, and research to support talent development.
Recently, in order to deepen collaborative innovation among industry, academia, and research institutions and strengthen the cultivation of future talent in the field of geophysical exploration, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration has actively fulfilled its social responsibility by sending technical experts to university campuses. These experts delivered a rich and cutting-edge, practically relevant technical lecture to senior students majoring in geological engineering, geophysics, and related fields.

The lecture focuses on the latest advancements and practical applications of modern electromagnetic exploration technologies, aiming to broaden students’ horizons and strengthen their foundational knowledge. Experts systematically explained the methodological theories and real-world applications of three key technological approaches. Through vivid demonstrations—including high-precision 3D imaging, case studies from complex terrains, and shared experiences in deep mineral exploration—they highlighted the significant value of these technologies in achieving “transparent subsurface” mapping and enhancing exploration efficiency. The lecture not only deepened students’ understanding of their field but also sparked their interest in the future of the industry, effectively bridging the gap between academia, research, and industry.
This “Technology into Campus” initiative is an important step taken by the Geophysical Exploration Institute to fulfill its social responsibilities and promote knowledge sharing. It not only provides students with a valuable platform for direct, face-to-face exchanges with frontline experts but also injects fresh vitality into talent development within the industry. Moving forward, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to deepen its collaboration with universities, consistently contributing its professional expertise to give back to the industry, serve society, and foster innovation in geophysical exploration technologies as well as the growth of a robust talent pool.
