The Institute of Geophysical Exploration joins hands to sign the “Innovation Consortium,” jointly promoting the development of the green and smart construction industry.
On November 14, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration was invited to participate in the 2025 Western Region Patent Commercialization Promotion Event aimed at fostering the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. Together with entities such as China Railway Twenty-Third Bureau Group Co., Ltd., the institute officially launched the “Sichuan Province Rail Transit Green and Smart Construction Industry Intellectual Property Innovation Consortium” (hereinafter referred to as the “Consortium”). Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, attended the event and signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the institute.
The consortium will integrate the resources, technologies, and industrial strengths of all parties, and is committed to building an open innovation platform for intellectual property that combines “collaborative technology R&D, joint development of intellectual property rights, commercialization of research outcomes, and output of standard systems.” This platform will establish a key patent portfolio and industry-standard system covering fields such as “low-carbon building materials, smart construction, building energy efficiency, and digital operations and maintenance,” and will set up a cross-border intellectual-property compliance mechanism for the industry. This will support Sichuan’s green and smart construction technologies and engineering services in going global, and help our province become a leading hub for green and smart construction industries in western China.
Looking ahead, supported by the Group’s science and technology innovation system, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will fully leverage its established high-level innovation platforms—including the Sichuan Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Station, the Sichuan Geological Physics Society, the Sichuan Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, the Chengdu Academician (Expert) Innovation Workstation, and the Chengdu Enterprise Technology Center—to deeply advance the “Great Cycle, Great Campaign, Great Enhancement” initiative. This will help create a cluster of high-value patents in the field of deep-earth exploration of Natural Resources, promote the deep integration of industrial chains, innovation chains, talent chains, and patent chains, and contribute to the Group’s goal of building “Five First-Class” enterprises. It will also help Sichuan become a national leader in technological innovation and achievement transformation in deep-earth exploration of Natural Resources, providing a “Sichuan Solution” for national energy security, resource assurance, and green exploration.
