The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the rectification work following the inspection, aiming to promote the effective implementation of rectification tasks with a rigorous and pragmatic approach.
To thoroughly implement the requirements of the Party Committee’s inspection work within the Group and effectively transform the rectification of issues identified in the inspection into tangible results that enhance the quality of Party building and drive enterprise development, on August 26, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a mobilization and deployment meeting for inspection rectification, officially launching the inspection rectification efforts. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Committee and General Manager, who also delivered a mobilizing speech. Members of the Institute’s leadership team, mid-level cadres, and secretaries of all Party branches attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, conveyed the spirit of the feedback session delivered by the First Inspection Team of the Group’s Party Committee regarding their inspection of the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s Party Committee. He focused on interpreting the rectification requirements put forward by Tu Xiaozhong, Head of the Group’s Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team, Member of the Group’s Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Deputy Leader of the Inspection Work Leading Group—namely, “deepening ideological awareness, adhering to a tough and honest approach, and effectively integrating various efforts.” These requirements clearly defined the political direction and core objectives for the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s rectification work. Focusing on issues identified in the Group’s inspection feedback—including party building, operational management, project management, and risk prevention—leadership teams were assigned specific responsibilities, responsible departments were designated, rectification deadlines were set, and phased targets were established. This effort has led to the establishment of a four-level rectification responsibility system characterized by “overall Party Committee responsibility, division of labor among the leadership team, team-led coordination, and departmental implementation.”
Yu Changheng emphasized that rectifying issues identified during inspection tours is a “touchstone” for testing the Party committee’s political capability. All cadres and staff of the Geophysical Exploration Institute must adopt an attitude of “no evasion, no cover-up, and no shirking responsibility” in acknowledging problems and pursue rectification with the “nailing-down” spirit. First, we must strengthen political guidance by integrating inspection-repair efforts with special campaigns such as “Three Shifts and Three Enhancements,” “Year of Capability Enhancement,” and the Party-building dual-enhancement initiative under the “Integrity Cell” project. We should regard the rectification process as an important opportunity to hone the work style of our cadres and enhance our governance capacity. Second, we must strictly enforce rectification standards and implement a mechanism of “weekly scheduling and monthly reporting.” The leading group for rectification work will regularly review progress and hold departments and individuals accountable with rigor if they fail to carry out rectifications effectively or merely go through the motions. Third, we must focus on translating rectification results into practical outcomes. While addressing current problems promptly—“identify and correct immediately, act and rectify right away”—we must also insist on drawing broader lessons from individual cases, extending our efforts from case-specific rectifications to systemic governance. We need to delve deeply into the root causes of common problems and institutional loopholes, further improve our institutional framework, and promote the establishment of a closed-loop system encompassing “problem identification—rectification implementation—mechanism improvement—supervision and effectiveness assessment.” This will ensure that the outcomes of rectification become long-term and normalized, truly transforming these results into a powerful driving force for promoting high-quality development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
