Safety Production Month | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Launches the “Deliver Safety to the Front Lines” Campaign

To effectively carry out the special campaign “Year of Capability Enhancement,” the Geophysical Exploration Institute launched the “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond—Identifying Safety Hazards Around Us” safety production month theme activity on June 1. Recently, the Equipment Safety Supervision Department went deep into the Hongya 2D seismic exploration project site to conduct a “Delivering Safety to the Front Lines” initiative, aiming to ensure that safety awareness and protective measures are truly implemented in every corner of the project, thereby providing robust support for safe project operations.

Deliver the foundation of safety and solidify the protective groundwork.

Putting people first has always been the core and foundation of project safety management. The Equipment Safety Supervision Department delivered a series of personal protective equipment and flood-season protective gear to the project team, including work uniforms, safety helmets, high-decibel loudspeakers, and gongs. They also conducted thorough and comprehensive safety inspections by going deep into the construction sites. The inspection covered all aspects—equipment operation, work procedures, and environmental conditions—aiming to precisely identify various potential safety hazards on site. Through these efforts, we are making every possible effort to tighten the “safety valve” at the construction sites, firmly safeguarding the “lifeline” of safe production, and laying a solid foundation for safe project execution.

Deliver safety awareness, strengthen safety concepts.

Enhancing safety knowledge and awareness is key to preventing accidents. The Equipment Safety Supervision Department organized a centralized learning session for all members of the project team, enabling them to deeply study and grasp General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on work safety, thereby providing solid theoretical guidance and ideological support for safety production efforts.

Next, everyone watched a safety awareness and education film as well as a video tutorial on first-aid knowledge. The safety awareness and education film vividly showcased various shocking production safety accidents caused by non-compliant operations and inadequate management, clearly illustrating the deadly threats posed by safety hazards. These scenes deeply resonated with every viewer, further urging everyone to remain constantly vigilant about production safety and never let their guard down in the slightest. The first-aid knowledge training video, from a practical skills perspective, provided project team members with relevant knowledge and skills for emergency first aid, enhancing their ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations and significantly improving the overall emergency preparedness level.

Delivering the Responsibility of Safety, Jointly Building a Security Defense Line

The implementation of safety responsibilities requires the active participation of everyone. The Equipment Safety Supervision Department organized all members of the project team to participate in a “Signature Pledge” activity. In front of the banner for “Safety Production Month,” each participant signed their name. This act is not merely the writing of one’s own name—it is a solemn commitment made by every individual to ensure safe production. It underscores the project team’s firm determination and strong sense of responsibility to proactively assume safety duties and wholeheartedly safeguard safe production. Through this approach, safety responsibilities are effectively assigned to each and every member, fostering a positive safety atmosphere in which everyone shares responsibility and fulfills their duties conscientiously, thereby jointly building an unshakable defense for safe project operations.

In the work ahead, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration will remain steadfastly committed to upholding the bottom line of safe production and bravely shoulder the heavy responsibility for safety. Taking the various activities of “Safety Production Month” as an important opportunity, we will adopt an even firmer resolve and implement more robust and effective measures to ensure that all aspects of safety production are carried out thoroughly. We will strive to achieve the goal of high-level safety safeguards supporting high-quality development, thereby creating a stable and secure environment for the smooth advancement of projects and the long-term growth of our enterprise.
