The Geophysical Exploration Institute and the Jianghan Oilfield Branch Conduct Technical Exchanges.
On June 6, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a symposium on geophysical exploration technology exchange with the Jianghan Oilfield Branch of China Petrochemical Corporation. The symposium focused on the application of core technologies—including wide-field electromagnetic methods, three-dimensional holographic electromagnetic methods, fracture monitoring, and integrated engineering geophysical exploration techniques—in oil and gas exploration and development. Zhang Guangda, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Office of the Chinese Geophysical Society, participated in the exchange.
At the symposium, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration highlighted four key technological breakthroughs and their applications. Both sides reached several consensus on technology implementation and scenario expansion, and will establish a regular mechanism for technical coordination. In response to core needs such as shale gas development in the Jianghan Oilfield, the impact of inter-well stimulation, identification of oil-water contacts, and crude oil exploitation, we plan to organize offline joint research meetings. By integrating technological strengths and practical resources, these efforts will help enhance the efficiency of oil and gas exploration and development, providing technological support for energy security.
This exchange has built a bridge for technological collaboration and innovation between the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and the Jianghan Oilfield Branch. The Institute of Geophysical Exploration will continue to leverage its technological strengths in "precise exploration and efficient development," working together with industry partners to drive the upgrading of petroleum geophysical exploration technologies and contribute our wisdom and expertise to ensuring national energy security and promoting high-quality development of the oil and gas industry.
