Pay tribute to model workers and pass on the spirit of striving forward.

Model workers are the benchmarks of our times and the embodiment of the spirit of struggle. General Secretary Xi Jinping said, “Model workers are outstanding representatives of the working masses—they are the most beautiful laborers.” At the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, there is a group of people just like that. They work diligently and selflessly at their posts, setting shining examples for all to follow. I feel immensely proud and delighted to have been honored as the Model Worker of the Geophysical Exploration Institute for 2024. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the leaders of the Institute for their trust and guidance, as well as for recognizing my past efforts. I’m also deeply grateful to all my colleagues who have offered me help and support.

Since joining the Geophysical Exploration Institute three years ago, the Institute has provided me with a platform to showcase myself and realize my personal value. Through continuous learning and practical experience, I’ve kept enriching myself and enhancing my professional skills, laying a solid foundation for becoming a model worker. At the same time, I’ve come to realize that becoming a model worker is not the end point—it’s rather a new starting point. I will continue to work hard, both in my studies and at my job, setting a good example for others and living up to the expectations of all our leaders, thus contributing my part to the future development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.

Seismic Exploration Department, Liu Cheng

I’d like to thank all the leaders and colleagues for their recognition of my work—this is not only an honor but also a great source of motivation! In 2024, I’ve been primarily involved in wide-area electromagnetic fracturing monitoring. I’ve been traveling back and forth between well sites in the Maowusu Desert in Inner Mongolia and the Sichuan-Chongqing region. Fracturing monitoring requires close coordination with on-site operations at the well sites, and data collection must be carried out precisely according to schedule. Often, I’ve been working late into the night at these well sites. This long-term fieldwork has enabled me to grow rapidly and gain abundant hands-on experience.

I’m honored to have been recognized as a model worker this time—this recognition is both an encouragement and a responsibility. I’m fully aware that geophysical exploration work allows for no room for even the slightest carelessness. Moving forward, I’ll continue to stay firmly rooted in the field, ensuring that every piece of data is measured accurately and every report is thoroughly grounded in reality, using my professional expertise to contribute my part to the company’s development!

Learning that I’ve been named the 2024 Model Worker of our unit fills me with both surprise and deep gratitude. For me, this honor is not only a recognition of my past work by the hospital leadership and colleagues—it’s also a powerful source of motivation and encouragement to keep striving forward.

Looking back on this past year, whether it was handling the internal documentation for projects or brainstorming innovative ideas, every busy moment and every successfully completed task were made possible thanks to the company’s trust, the guidance of our leaders, and the support of my colleagues. I’ve come to deeply realize that there are no ordinary people—only ordinary positions. No matter what role we’re in, as long as we uphold a work ethic characterized by rigor, attention to detail, courage in the face of challenges, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, each of us can achieve extraordinary results.

This honor has only strengthened my resolve to keep moving forward. In the future, I’ll turn it into a source of motivation, hold myself to even higher standards, continue to maintain my passion for my work, embody the spirit of model workers, and contribute more actively to the development of our organization!

The new era is an era for those who strive; every worker is the protagonist of this era. Let us take role models of labor excellence as our inspiration, carry forward the spirit of these role models, and draw strength from their dedication.
