Capability Enhancement Year | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Launches the 2025 “Capability Enhancement Year—Research with Substance” Geophysical Exploration Lecture Series!
On April 30, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration solemnly held the launch ceremony for the “Year of Capability Enhancement—Exploring with Substance” Geophysical Exploration Lecture Series, along with the first specialized training session. Through a systematic and professional learning and exchange platform, the institute is committed to enhancing the professional competence of its staff and empowering innovation and development in geophysical exploration technology.
In his mobilization speech at the launch ceremony, Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Institute, emphasized that, in line with the Group’s special initiative for “Year of Capability Enhancement,” as a key unit for technological innovation within the Group, all staff members of the Geophysical Exploration Institute should focus on “three enhancements”—enhancing awareness of technological innovation, improving capabilities in tackling technical challenges, and boosting the efficiency of technology transfer. Taking this grand lecture series launch as an opportunity, they should strive to build a learning-oriented organization, cultivate an innovative team, and establish a technology-driven platform, thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of geophysical exploration.
The first session of the Geophysical Exploration Masterclass features four specialized topics: "Technological Innovation Strategies and Management for Manufacturing Enterprises," "Application of Electromagnetic Methods in Oil and Gas Development," "Sharing of Learning Outcomes from the 7th Academic Annual Conference on Oil and Gas Geophysics of the Chinese Geophysical Society," and "Sharing of Learning Outcomes from the 2025 Academic Annual Conference of the Solid Mineral Logging Branch of the Chinese Geophysical Society." These sessions focus on cutting-edge industry trends and practical applications, sharing the latest advances in geophysical exploration and providing in-depth insights into breakthroughs and innovation directions in oil-gas and solid-mineral geophysical exploration technologies. The training event employs a multi-dimensional teaching approach—combining theoretical lectures, case analyses, and interactive discussions—to effectively stimulate participants' innovative thinking.
The official launch of the Geophysical Exploration Grand Lecture Series marks a new stage in the Institute of Geophysical Exploration’s efforts to build its capacity for scientific and technological innovation. By establishing a regular platform for learning and exchange, this initiative will strongly promote cross-departmental knowledge sharing and technological collaboration, playing a crucial role in fostering core competitive advantages and overcoming “bottleneck” technologies.
