The Geophysical Exploration Institute and the Central Sichuan Oil and Gas Mine of the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch Hold an Exchange and Discussion Meeting.
On May 22, Chu Yuying, a first-level engineer in reservoir engineering from the Chuanzhong Oil and Gas Mine of the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Branch, led a team to visit the Institute of Geophysical Exploration for an exchange and discussion. The meeting was chaired by Yu Changheng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.
Before the meeting, Chu Yuying and her delegation visited the Geophysical Innovation Studio of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, where they gained a detailed understanding of the institute’s recent research efforts on major geophysical exploration methods in the oil and gas sector, their application results, as well as the planning and development of its industry-academia-research innovation platform.

At the exchange meeting, both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on the application of geophysical exploration technologies in oil and gas resource exploration and reached a preliminary consensus on introducing new technologies and exploring potential areas for collaborative research. Chu Yuying stated that the specialized, cutting-edge geophysical exploration technologies, research platforms, and expert talent pool possessed by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration will help Sichuan Central Oil & Gas Mining address technical challenges in production and operations, providing crucial technological support for increasing oil and gas reserves and boosting production in the Sichuan Basin. She advocated establishing a long-term, effective communication mechanism between the two sides to ensure smooth and efficient communication, jointly develop new forms of productive forces, and enhance the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements.

Yu Changheng extended a warm welcome to Chu Yuying and her delegation, and expressed his gratitude to the experts from the Sichuan Central Oil and Gas Mine for their valuable insights and suggestions. He emphasized that the Institute of Geophysical Exploration will remain committed to the transformation and application of advanced geophysical exploration technologies, providing greater technical support for oil and gas exploration and development.
Zhang Guangda, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society, along with relevant leaders and heads of departments from the Central Sichuan Oil and Gas Mining Management Department, the Institute of Geological Technology, and the Geophysical Exploration Institute, attended the symposium.
