The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a commendation meeting for “Model Workers” on May Day, along with a lecture session by these model workers.
On April 30, to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of model workers, and to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a May Day “Model Worker” Commendation Conference and Model Worker Lecture Series, which was attended by all staff members based in Chengdu.
Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, presented honorary certificates to the 2024 Model Workers, expressing his hope that they would actively carry forward the spirit of model workers, set a good example, and lead all employees to fully play their role as the main force. At the meeting, Liu Cheng, a representative of the company’s model workers; Wang Qiang, a candidate for the Qingyang Craftsman Program; Wang Anping, representative of the Group’s Worker Pioneer Team; and Liu Jinhui, recipient of the Provincial May Day Medal, shared their personal journeys—marked by proactive advancement, hard work, and relentless struggle—in their respective positions. They all pledged to remain committed to their duties, dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their work, and put the spirit of model workers into practice through concrete actions, thus contributing their own strength to the future development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
Yu Changheng put forward several hopes for promoting the spirit of model workers:
1. Learn from model workers by staying firmly committed to your beliefs and always remaining true to your original aspirations. Integrate your personal ideals into the broader development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, strengthen your sense of responsibility and mission, and bravely forge ahead on the path toward high-quality development of the institute.
2. Uphold the craftsman spirit of model workers—striving for perfection and pursuing excellence. In today’s fiercely competitive market environment, building the “Sichuan Resource Geophysical Exploration” research brand is the foundation upon which our institute can establish itself. Every employee should consistently adopt a mindset of relentless pursuit of excellence in their work, earning a solid reputation and gaining market share through high-quality results.
3. Carry forward the spirit of model workers—daring to innovate and forging ahead with a pioneering spirit. Technological innovation is the core driving force behind the institute’s development. Every staff member should actively explore new methods, new technologies, and fresh perspectives, taking proactive steps in technological upgrades and service enhancements to open up new pathways and create new achievements for the institute’s growth.
4. Carry forward the fine traditions of model workers—unity, collaboration, and a willingness to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly. Strengthen team communication and cooperation, support and complement each other, and forge a powerful synergy in our work. As long as our team works together with one heart and strives relentlessly, we will surely achieve even greater accomplishments!
