Capability Enhancement Year | “Innovative Science and Technology in Tianfu—Smart Insights in Rongcheng”: The Geophysical Exploration Institute, together with Hefei Guowei Electronics and Professor Song Kezhu’s team from University of Science and Technology of China, is jointly promoting the development of intelligent microseismic detection technology.

At a crucial stage of the Group’s in-depth implementation of the special campaign “Year of Capability Enhancement,” from March 27 to 28, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, as a corporate representative, was invited to attend the Chengdu Qingyang District “Science and Technology Innovation Tianfu—Smart Gathering in Rongcheng” event for the docking and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, held in Hefei. The event was guided by the Chengdu Municipal Science and Technology Bureau and the People’s Government of Qingyang District, and organized by the Qingyang District Bureau of New Economy and Science and Technology. It aims to deepen cooperation among universities, local governments, and enterprises, and to promote the practical application and commercialization of high-quality scientific and technological achievements.


At the special matchmaking session held by the University of Science and Technology of China, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration and Hefei Guowei Electronics Co., Ltd. formally signed a letter of intent for cooperation.

 


Following the signing ceremony, Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, and Liu Jinhui, Member of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Center, led a delegation to visit Hefei Guowei Electronics Co., Ltd. During the visit, the two sides held a symposium and exchanged views on technological R&D, market applications, and future cooperation models. Both sides expressed that they would take this collaboration as an opportunity, leveraging the technological strengths of Professor Song Kezhu’s team from the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Detection and Nuclear Electronics at the University of Science and Technology of China, fully harnessing their respective advantages in technological R&D, industrial application, and market promotion. They will focus on intelligent microseismic detection and real-time monitoring, deepen industry-academia-research collaborative innovation around areas such as energy exploration and geological hazard early warning, and jointly promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into practical industrial applications.

 


On March 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration visited the State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Detection and Nuclear Electronics at the University of Science and Technology of China, where they held an exchange meeting and tour of the laboratory with Professor Song Kezhu’s team. Both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on cutting-edge research, application scenarios, and industrialization pathways for intelligent microseismic detection technology, and reached a consensus on future directions for collaboration.

 

This collaboration between the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, Hefei Guowei Electronics Co., Ltd., and the research team led by Professor Song Kezhu from the University of Science and Technology of China represents a vivid example of collaborative innovation between academia and industry. Taking microseismic intelligent detection and real-time monitoring technologies as the entry point, both parties will facilitate the transition of scientific research findings from the laboratory to industrial applications, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of key industries in Qingyang District. In the future, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration will continue to deepen its cooperation with universities and enterprises, actively participate in the "Innovative Chengdu—Smart Rongcheng" initiative, and earnestly implement the special action plan for "Capacity Enhancement Year," thereby contributing to the integrated development of technological innovation and industry.
