Building a Pioneer Force in Geophysical Exploration

Writing a magnificent chapter of integrating Party building with business operations.

In the Yulong Copper Mine area of Qingnidong Township, Jiangda County, Changdu City, Tibet—located at an altitude exceeding 4,500 meters—the geophysical exploration and well-logging team members are writing a new-era story of geological professionals with an iron will.

When the drilling platform pierces the sky.

The logging equipment stands tall and unyielding in the cold wind.

Our “Plateau Retrograde Travelers”

Interpreting with actions.

The higher the altitude, the greater the fighting spirit.

The environment is harsh, but our conviction is even stronger.

As a national strategic resource base, the Yulong Copper Mine has undergone 58 years of development and construction and has become China’s second-largest single copper mine.

The team members stood on the drilling rig platform, gazing into the distance. The snow-covered mine resembled a sleeping giant dragon—this place is not only a treasure trove of national strategic resources but also the battlefield where geologists put their mission into practice.

Facing an extreme environment characterized by an annual average temperature below 5℃, a maximum permafrost depth of 1.8 meters, and daily temperature fluctuations exceeding 20℃, the logging team set up temporary work platforms among the snow-covered mines.

In the frigid wilderness, the Party members of the geophysical exploration institute’s well-logging team took the lead, proudly raising the banner of vanguard and guiding all team members to resolutely embark on precision operations, driven by the firm belief that “the environment may be desolate, but people’s hearts are burning with passion.”

The team strictly implements the “Three Checks and Five Verifications” safety protocol. While ensuring personnel safety, they conduct comprehensive equipment inspections and provide well logging services using a segmented logging approach.

As the young logging team successfully transmitted the final set of data, the sight of the team members embracing and smiling together against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains formed a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

They deeply understand that every underground operation is a tangible embodiment of their vow to “search for minerals for the country.” From the snow-covered plateaus to the vast expanse of stars and oceans, Sichuan’s resource exploration professionals are forging a new-era geological monument with their youthful passion and dedication, ensuring that the belief—“lacking oxygen but never lacking spirit”—continues to shine brightly atop the “Roof of the World.”
