On February 17, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a meeting on resuming work and production, safety, and technical quality for 2025, comprehensively deploying the key tasks for the year and outlining the major work priorities for the coming year. The company’s leadership team, heads of various departments, and senior technical personnel attended the meeting.

The meeting focuses on four agenda items to strengthen the foundation for development.

The meeting focused on resuming work and production, safety management, and enhancing technical quality.

Liu Jinhui, a member of the Party Branch Committee of the Institute and Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Center, first delivered the “2025 Science and Technology Innovation Work Report,” systematically summarizing the achievements of the Geophysical Exploration Institute in the field of scientific and technological innovation and outlining the research directions for 2025, including strengthening efforts to tackle key technologies, integrating internal and external R&D resources, and improving the construction of science and technology innovation platforms—thus injecting new momentum into the upgrading of geophysical exploration technologies.

Gu Zhiwen, a member of the Party Branch Committee of the institute, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, comprehensively reviewed the achievements made in 2024 regarding safety and technical quality, analyzed existing problems, and proposed specific measures for resuming and restarting projects in 2025, building standardized safe production practices, and enhancing technical quality management.

Mou Yu, Deputy Director of the Equipment Safety Supervision Department, provided a detailed explanation of the revised “Regulations for the Management of Safety and Instrumentation Equipment,” emphasizing that optimizing these regulations will enhance equipment utilization efficiency and mitigate operational risks.

Tackle the issue with “three key initiatives”

Safeguarding with “Three Emphases”

In his concluding remarks, Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Institute and General Manager, drew on the actual development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute to put forward three key initiatives and three priority tasks, thereby setting the direction for the year’s work.

Three Promotions:

Establish the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s Grand Lecture Hall: Integrate internal and external expert resources to build a regular learning platform. Through technical exchanges and case sharing, enhance the professional competence of all staff and cultivate talent for high-quality development.

Establish a technical quality management system: All departments will collaborate closely, refine technical standards and process specifications, and create a closed-loop quality management system that covers the entire project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality and efficient deliverables.

Build a platform for sharing safety and technical quality documentation: Leverage digital tools to integrate historical data and typical projects, enabling information exchange and experience sharing, and providing support for risk prediction and decision-making.

Three emphases:

Seize opportunities and ride the waves: Closely align with the nation’s energy strategy and the Group’s deployment, consolidate our advantages in the oil and gas market, expand our international business, and drive enhanced market competitiveness through technological innovation.

Actively implement the “Three-Pronged Construction” and the “13710” working system: deepen the integration of Party building with business operations, strengthen the supervision and accountability mechanism, and ensure that every task receives a response and is fully implemented.

Scientifically plan for safe production: Adhere to the principle of “prevention first, comprehensive management,” strengthen the identification and elimination of potential hazards, promote the standardization and intelligent transformation of safe production, and firmly establish a solid safety foundation for development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, all cadres and employees were urged to adopt a fighting spirit of “starting with a sprint” and to advance the resumption of work and production to high standards. In the new year, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to use technological innovation as its driving force and safety and quality as its cornerstone, striving to write a new chapter in serving the cause of Natural Resources.
