The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its 2025 Work Conference.

On January 21, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its 2025 Work Conference. Attending the meeting were the institute’s leadership team, members of the Party Branch Committee, senior managers, and employees based in Chengdu. Zhang Guangda, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society, also attended the conference.

At the meeting, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, conveyed the spirit of the Group’s 2025 Work Conference and urged all cadres and employees to deeply understand and earnestly implement its directives. He emphasized strengthening strategic guidance, solidifying core responsibilities and main business areas, enhancing R&D of original technologies, and stimulating innovative vitality. He also called for continued efforts to effectively carry out the Group’s “Three Major Initiatives,” providing strong support for the company’s high-quality development.

Yu Changheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, delivered a work report titled “Forge Brilliance Through Technological Breakthroughs, Lead with Innovation to Embark on a New Journey, and Steadily Advance the Geophysical Exploration Institute on the Path of High-Quality Development.”

He stated that in 2024, the Geophysical Exploration Institute made concerted efforts in multiple areas—including Party building leadership, technological R&D, project implementation, talent development, and standardized management—and not only exceeded its annual revenue and profit targets but also successfully achieved steady, high-quality development.

He emphasized that in 2025, we must actively consolidate our existing oil and gas markets, strengthen internal market synergy and support, expand into external markets, and move toward the international market. We need to continuously increase investment in technological innovation and R&D, comprehensively enhance our scientific research competitiveness, integrate both internal and external R&D resources, efficiently advance R&D projects, and strengthen the development of science and technology innovation platforms. We must also reinforce talent development and bolster our human resource support. Furthermore, we should fully implement the Group’s “13710” supervision and implementation system, continuously optimize internal management processes, refine the performance evaluation system and reward-and-punishment mechanisms, and enhance risk awareness. Finally, we must strengthen Party building leadership, consolidate and deepen the achievements of the “Three Key Initiatives,” reinforce clean governance and integrity within the Party, and foster a robust corporate culture.

Zhang Mengwei, Chen Xin, and Tian Tengzhen delivered speeches as representatives of advanced models.

Gu Zhiwen, member of the Party General Branch Committee of the institute, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, arranged and deployed tasks related to safety production, technical quality, and technological innovation for 2025.

Chen Jing, Director of the 4th Financial Review Committee of the Institute’s Trade Union, reported on the income and expenditure of the Institute’s Trade Union funds.

Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of the Institute, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union, delivered a concluding statement at the meeting.

He emphasized the need to strengthen accountability and take decisive action to ensure effective implementation of tasks; continuously advance technological innovation to enhance core capabilities; intensify collaborative efforts to build synergies in our work; and reinforce Party building leadership while ensuring management is conducted in strict accordance with laws and regulations.

In 2025, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to focus closely on its core responsibilities and key tasks, ensuring the effective implementation of all work initiatives and contributing to the vigorous advancement of Sichuan Resources Group’s geophysical exploration endeavors to new heights.
