The most outstanding model worker of the Geophysical Exploration Institute has been announced!
To promote the spirit of model workers and set exemplary role models, the Geophysical Exploration Institute launched a “May Day” Model Worker Selection Activity. After recommendations from departments and successive screenings by the Party Branch Committee and the Trade Union, three colleagues—Yang Fei from the Engineering Exploration Department, Mou Yu from the Business Audit Department, and Wen Han from the Office—stood out and were honored as the “Most Beautiful Model Workers” of the Geophysical Exploration Institute for 2021!

(Yang Fei is working on the project and did not attend the commendation meeting.)
Although most of us are engaged in ordinary and tedious jobs that may never be recognized throughout our lives, as long as we remain dedicated to our work, conscientiously fulfill our responsibilities, and do every single task meticulously, we can still shine! Next, let’s listen to the award-winning remarks from three model workers!
Engineering Exploration Department: Yang Fei

Looking back on my work journey in 2021, as one of the many hardworking members of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, I simply fulfilled my duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability at my post. It is both an honor and a source of deep humility that the Institute has awarded me the title of “Most Beautiful Model Worker of 2021.” I believe this honor truly belongs to every single hardworking member of the Geophysical Exploration Institute who contributed in 2021. After all, it is precisely because of everyone’s collective diligence and efforts that our enterprise has flourished today.
In 2021, as a member of the Engineering Exploration Department at the Geophysical Exploration Institute, my primary responsibility—and the question I pondered most each day—was how to carry out projects and how to ensure their successful completion. Throughout the year, as project leader, I personally led and oversaw the completion of a total of 16 exploration projects of various sizes, including the feasibility study phase for the middle and lower reaches navigation channel construction project on the Nujiang River and geotechnical exploration for shale gas in Weiyuan. Notably, there were no safety, technical, or quality incidents throughout the entire year. The secret behind all these successes lies in the years of training and development I received at the Geophysical Exploration Institute, which have helped me develop a correct outlook on life and career, enabling me to view my work as a means of realizing my own personal value.
The mighty pass ahead seems as solid as iron, yet today we take a new step forward, starting anew. I’ll take this as a fresh beginning, transforming today’s honor into unwavering motivation. Under the guidance of the institute’s leadership and with the help of my colleagues, I’ll stay true to my original aspiration, forge ahead with determination, and nurture my youth with hard work and dedication. I’ll repay the Institute of Geophysical Exploration’s nurturing and my colleagues’ trust with concrete achievements, and I’ll write the story of my life with a work ethic that seizes every moment and makes the most of our precious youth.
Audit Department: Mou Yu

I feel deeply honored to be recognized by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration as the “Most Beautiful Model Worker of 2021.” I believe that this “Most Beautiful Model Worker” award is not just for me personally, but for every comrade who has worked diligently and quietly at their respective posts, dedicating their youth and sweat to the high-quality development of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.
As a member of the Business Audit Department at the Geophysical Exploration Institute, my daily work primarily involves managing the institute’s bidding and tendering activities. For the Geophysical Exploration Institute to thrive, it is essential to carry out projects—and bidding and tendering work serves as the foundation upon which these towering structures are built, acting as the crucial first step toward securing projects. Therefore, whether it’s interpreting tender documents, gathering relevant materials, preparing bid proposals, sealing bids, or opening bids, I devote myself wholeheartedly to each task, never allowing even the slightest bit of carelessness. I approach every tender document with determination and wrestle fiercely with every single word. Although the work process can be rather tedious, whenever the bid proposal I’ve prepared impresses the evaluation experts and leads to our winning a project, I feel deeply that all my hard work has been thoroughly worthwhile.
Although I’ve been honored as the “Most Beautiful Model Worker” this time, I’m keenly aware that what I’ve accomplished so far is still far from enough. I need to strive harder and measure myself against the many outstanding talents within our institute—using them as role models to identify my own shortcomings and tap into my full potential. In the days ahead, I’ll hold myself to even higher standards, approaching my work with the composure of “remaining calm amidst swirling clouds,” the perseverance of “clinging tenaciously to the green hills,” and the boldness of “hoisting my sails straight toward the vast ocean.” I’ll seize every moment and make the most of my youth. It’s in this seemingly ordinary job that I’ll hone my skills and grow, aiming to achieve extraordinary results and dedicating my youthful energy to the development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute.
Office: Wen Han

I am deeply honored to be named the “Most Beautiful Model Worker” of the Institute for 2021. I fully realize that on the path of vigorous development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, everyone has poured their heart and soul into it—and I am merely a tiny reflection of the collective efforts and relentless striving of all members of the Institute. Thus, this title means not only honor for me, but also a profound sense of responsibility.
The office serves as the “window” of an organization, the “throat” that facilitates communication between upper and lower levels, and the “link” that connects departments on either side. As a member of the office, most days are spent buried in piles of documents and busy with countless琐碎 tasks—administrative work, Party affairs, human resources, Youth League activities, union work, and corporate publicity—all of which demand absolute precision and zero tolerance for errors. As a comprehensive department, the office distinguishes itself from other departments primarily in its service-oriented nature; thus, it’s often difficult to see tangible, concrete results from the office’s work. Looking back on each day of my work, it’s hard for me to list any systematic achievements. Yet I deeply understand that just because we can’t see clear-cut outcomes doesn’t mean we should negate our own value. Over these nearly three years, every small task I’ve undertaken has gradually accumulated and become a tiny yet meaningful contribution to the company’s vigorous development—and that, to me, is precisely where my value lies.
The honor of “Most Beautiful Model Worker” is not only a recognition of my work over the past year, but also a powerful spur and driving force for me to keep striving forward with unwavering determination and self-improvement. As a junior colleague still lacking in experience, my learning journey is far from over. With the increasing demand for high-quality development within the Geophysical Exploration Institute, I’ve come to realize even more deeply that every single position is critically important. As a member of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, I will carry this honor with me, continue to forge ahead with perseverance, benchmark myself against the institute’s outstanding talents, constantly refine myself, and remain proactively ambitious. Taking this honor as a starting point, I will contribute my modest efforts to the Institute’s brighter and more glorious future from my ordinary post.
