On the Youth Day of May 4th in the Year of the Tiger, this is how we geophysicists celebrate it.
To celebrate the arrival of the May Fourth Youth Day, carry forward the spirit of May Fourth, and put the youthful energy into action for building a new era, the Youth League Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, with strong support from the Party Branch Committee of the company, has organized a variety of activities for Youth Day.
Commend the “Outstanding Communist Youth League Member”
In 2021, the young employees of the Geophysical Exploration Institute actively and diligently performed their duties, achieving remarkable results in various tasks. Among them, two female colleagues—Kang Lan from the Engineering Exploration Department and Ye Jiaxin from the Finance Department—stood out and were awarded the title of “Outstanding Communist Youth League Member” for 2021. Through this initiative, the Institute’s Youth League Committee encouraged all young League members to strive for excellence, take advanced role models as inspiration, continuously improve their overall competence, and achieve even greater innovation and excellence in their respective positions.
Welcoming the Universiade
Youth Fitness Activities
In line with the theme of the Chengdu Universiade—“I’m healthy, I’m happy”—on the morning of April 28, the Youth League Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, in collaboration with the trade union, organized a youth fitness event themed “Welcoming the Universiade” outdoors.
The event featured activities such as hiking and jump rope, and a total of 40 employees enthusiastically signed up and achieved excellent results.
Young employees of the Geophysical Exploration Institute said that, due to laziness, they had previously neglected exercise. Through this event, they now pledge to place greater emphasis on their physical health, actively engage in sports, and improve their overall fitness.
Braving mountains and crossing rivers, living up to the years.
During the May Day and May Fourth holidays, another group of young geophysical exploration professionals remained steadfastly on the front lines—working amidst towering mountains and steep ridges, crossing mighty rivers, traversing desolate plains and grasslands, and enduring the relentless sun and wind. At more than ten projects—including the Nujiang Project in Yunnan, the Wudongde-to-Luquan Geophysical Exploration Project, the Chongqing Shale Gas Geophysical Exploration Project, the pre-drilling electrical prospecting project for shale gas, the special survey project for mined-out areas, the fracturing monitoring project on drilling platforms, and the soil and water conservation project—these young professionals continued to work tirelessly at the forefront.
In addition, there’s a group of young people working overtime in the office, diligently organizing scientific research, designing solutions, and preparing reports.
They sweat and strive, writing holiday joy through their hard work!
