The Dacun Project Department of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held the 2023 Employee Vocational Skills Selection Competition.
To set a benchmark and showcase the professional skills and team spirit of employees at the Geophysical Exploration Institute, the Da Cun Project Department of the Institute recently organized a unique vocational skills selection competition under the guidance of the Institute’s trade union.
The selection competition consists of two stages: theoretical knowledge and practical skills. More than 10 technical personnel from the Omura Project Department participated in the competition.
In the theoretical knowledge segment, contestants answered specialized questions related to electrical prospecting by drawing lots, demonstrating their solid theoretical foundation and extensive work experience. In the hands-on practical segment, following the prescribed procedures and standards, contestants carried out field operations—including line laying, measurement, point positioning, electrode installation, equipment inspection, device connection, and data collection—showcasing their superb technical skills and excellent working capabilities. After fierce competition, the top-performing contestant will represent the Geophysical Exploration Institute in the finals of the 2023 Provincial Vocational Skills Competition organized by Sichuan Resources Group.
This selection competition is not only a test of the skill levels of employees from the Omura Project Department, but also a rare opportunity for learning and exchange. Through the competition, technical personnel have not only enhanced their professional competence and operational skills, but also strengthened team cohesion and combat effectiveness. The contestants unanimously expressed that they would take this competition as an opportunity to further intensify technical training and practice, striving to achieve outstanding results in the finals.
