Fight for 100 Days—Win the Final Battle | The Geophysical Exploration Institute Holds Its Third-Quarter 2022 Staff Meeting

On September 22, the 2022 Third-Quarter Staff Meeting of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration was held in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute. Employees based in Chengdu and field personnel participated via video link from the main venue to the project offices.

At the meeting, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Member of the Discipline Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Trade Union; Yu Changheng, Deputy General Manager and CFO of the institute; and Gu Zhiwen, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the institute, respectively summarized and made arrangements for work related to Party building and integrity-building, operations and finance, as well as production safety and technical quality.

Liu Jinhui, Head of the Seismic Exploration Department, and Zhang Jian, Key Project Manager of the Engineering Exploration Department, delivered work reports as representatives, each drawing on the actual conditions of their respective departments and projects.

Subsequently, Zhang Guangda summarized and analyzed the work of the Geophysical Exploration Institute for the first three quarters of 2022, and made arrangements and deployments for the key tasks during the final 100 days of 2022.

He pointed out that this year’s production tasks are demanding, but thanks to the concerted efforts of all employees, we have already achieved 70% of this year’s business targets. To make a vigorous push over the next 100 days, everyone in the institute must remain confident and steadfast in their resolve, ensuring “unity from top to bottom” and playing “a single, coordinated game.” We need to mobilize fully, go all-out in our final sprint, muster our full energy, and deliver an outstanding performance in the closing phase of the year, thereby welcoming the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.

First, we must effectively implement the recent work arrangements made by Chen Guilin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, and Jiang Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and General Manager. We should also rigorously enforce the Group’s various assessment methods, focusing on performance and resolutely achieving all annual targets. We must make good use of the assessment mechanism as a guiding “baton,” identifying and addressing gaps, building on our strengths, and compensating for our weaknesses.

Second, we must focus on project production and project settlement, and steadily and thoroughly accomplish the annual goals and tasks.

Third, we must place safety in an even more prominent position. We must rigorously carry out safety production inspections to ensure zero production-related accidents, continuously strengthen epidemic prevention and control efforts, and resolutely ensure the safety and stability of our work as we prepare to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Fourth, we will strengthen our professional capabilities. We will put effort into translating research findings into practical applications, publishing papers, obtaining software copyrights, and securing invention patents, thereby enhancing our specialized technical strengths, ensuring high-quality project execution, and guaranteeing a 100% pass rate for reports.

Fifth, we must highlight a new foundation for development and focus on strengthening Party building at the core. With the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China fast approaching, we need to carry out a series of effective publicity and implementation efforts centered around the successful convening of the Congress. In light of the actual situation of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, we should firmly grasp the enhancement of Party building and the improvement of work style, thereby promoting the deep integration of Party building with business operations.

This year marks the Group’s inaugural year of reform. The Geophysical Exploration Institute is firmly committed to its goals, seizing every moment and striving with vigor and determination. All employees are full of confidence and will surely successfully complete the annual production tasks assigned by the Group, achieving a win-win outcome for both the employees and the institute.
