On the morning of September 23, Professor Zhihong Fu from Chongqing University and a delegation of three people visited the Institute of Geophysical Exploration for an exchange and discussion. Attending the meeting were Guangda Zhang, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute; Changheng Yu, Deputy General Manager and CFO; Zhiwen Gu, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer; as well as heads of relevant departments and technical personnel.

At the meeting, Zhang Guangda, representing the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, extended a warm welcome to Professor Fu Zhihong and her delegation, and provided the guests with an overview of the Institute’s basic information. Subsequently, Professor Fu Zhihong gave a detailed presentation on the working principles of airborne geophysical exploration methods and the research directions of scientific studies in recent years. She also presented a PowerPoint demonstration introducing the WuKong UAV-based full-airborne transient electromagnetic system and its application cases. This system boasts eight key features: small blind spots, great detection depth, high resolution, light weight, convenient coil assembly, real-time monitoring, beyond-line-of-sight terrain simulation, and high-speed data processing. During the discussion, both sides engaged in a thorough exchange on the system’s parameters, performance, and operating conditions, and also delved into the application of other geophysical exploration instruments and methods, laying a solid foundation for further strengthening cooperation between the two parties.

This technical exchange has yielded remarkable results and received unanimous recognition from both sides. Zhang Guangda expressed his commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and engagement, and to pursuing in-depth collaboration in areas such as instrument R&D, talent exchange, and the development of standards and specifications. This exchange and symposium have opened a new chapter of friendly cooperation between the two sides and injected fresh momentum into the Institute of Geophysical Exploration’s ongoing efforts to drive technological innovation and development.
