The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held its 2023 First-Quarter Production and Operation Summary Meeting.

On the afternoon of April 17, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration organized a summary meeting for the first quarter of 2023 on production and operations. Attending the meeting were members of the institute’s leadership team, members of the Party Branch Committee, senior managers, heads of various departments, and representatives from key project teams on the production front (via video conference). The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.

At the meeting, heads of various departments delivered individual speeches focusing on production and operations, safety management, project implementation, and other related areas. They provided detailed reports on the completion of tasks in the first quarter, identified existing problems, and outlined their plans for the next phase of work. Yu Changheng, Deputy General Manager and CFO of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, and Gu Zhiwen, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer, respectively summarized and made arrangements for work related to operations, finance, safe production, and quality management.

Zhang Guangda affirmed the achievements made by all staff members of the hospital in the first quarter:

Fully leveraging the comprehensive strengths of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, we have won three consecutive bids.

● Geophysical Exploration Project for the Preliminary Design Phase of the G0611 Highway from Chuanzhusi to Wenchuan and from Wudongde to Luquan

● Guangzhou Nansha District Internal Flood Control Pipeline Geophysical Exploration Survey Project

● Detailed Survey Project for the Middle and Lower Reaches Waterway of the Nujiang River

Relying on the core technologies jointly developed by the Geophysical Exploration Institute and Hunan Jishan High-Tech, we’ve secured three consecutive contracts.

● Sinopec North China Branch Wide-Field Electromagnetic Fracturing Monitoring Framework Project

● PetroChina Sichuan-Chongqing Shale Gas Frontline Command’s 2023-2024 Fractured Well Wide-Area Electromagnetic Fracturing Monitoring Framework Project

● Chongqing Shale Gas Yuxi Block Electrical Property Variation Wide-Area Electromagnetic Exploration Project

Leveraging the scientific and technological achievements of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, we have won three innovation awards in a row.

● The project “Key Technologies and Engineering Applications for Efficient Water Detection and Grouting for Water-Rich Tunnels in Mountainous Areas,” jointly submitted by our institute, the Sichuan Provincial Transportation Survey and Design Institute, and Chengdu University of Technology, has been awarded the First Prize of the 2022 China Transportation Association Science and Technology Award.

● Our institute has applied to and been approved by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology for the title of “Innovative Small and Medium-sized Enterprise in Sichuan Province.”

● Our institute has obtained 2 invention patents in 2023, and 3 software copyrights are currently being processed.

As of the end of the first quarter, the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s project pipeline for 2023 reached 140 million yuan.

Regarding the next steps in production and operations, Zhang Guangda requested:

First, we will integrate the implementation of thematic education with the advancement of the institute’s key tasks, and carry out the new round of thematic education to high standards and with strict requirements.

Second, we must do a good job in project management. The hospital has many ongoing projects that are scattered and vary in scale. We need to establish a comprehensive project ledger and strictly implement the “Two Forms and One Document” system.

Third, we will rigorously carry out safety production inspections. We will intensify targeted rectifications in areas with significant safety hazards, consistently maintain routine safety risk prevention efforts, and firmly prevent all kinds of safety accidents from occurring.

Fourth, we must effectively manage and control the project process. We should provide timely supervision and guidance, ensure that project settlements are completed on schedule, and guarantee that all related work is finished by the end of this year.

Fifth, we will promote the application process for the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the approval of scientific research projects, ensuring that production and R&D advance in parallel.
