Exploring the Cutting Edge of Scientific Research and Gaining Insights into New Industry Trends—Sichuan Institute of Geophysical Exploration Participates in Key Industry Conferences
Recently, the Sichuan Institute of Resource Geophysics was invited to attend two important industry conferences: the SEG Geophysics-Geology-Engineering Integrated Technology Workshop and the National Joint Meeting of Secretaries-General of the Chinese Geophysical Society.
At the SEG Geophysics-Geology-Engineering Integrated Technology Seminar held in Chengdu, Jia Jianchao, a senior manager from the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, joined over 200 scholars and experts from more than 30 universities, research institutes, and well-known industry organizations to discuss cutting-edge research areas in geophysics-geology-engineering integration and gain insights into the latest industry trends. This conference will help inspire and broaden researchers' perspectives, enrich existing research methodologies, refine and optimize research systems, and explore technical systems and management models that align with the specific characteristics of geological and oilfield production, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of oil and gas exploration and development and effectively reducing engineering operation costs.
At the National Joint Meeting of Secretaries-General of the Chinese Geophysical Society held in Zhangye, Gansu Province, senior manager Liang Hongyi delivered a report on the work of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration as the Sichuan Office of the Chinese Geophysical Society and as a pilot unit for science and technology promotion by the Chinese Geophysical Society, as well as on the progress toward establishing the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society. Guo Jian, Secretary-General of the Chinese Geophysical Society, fully affirmed the work carried out by the Sichuan Institute of Resource Geophysics and expressed that the Society will continue to pay close attention to and provide support for the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society’s application process.
On this new journey, the Sichuan Institute of Geophysical Exploration, as a branch and governing body of the Chinese Geophysical Society, will leverage the platform provided by the Chinese Geophysical Society to establish the Sichuan Provincial Geophysical Society. Together with experts from Sichuan’s geophysical exploration industry, we will carefully plan and effectively implement the Society’s arrangements and deployments, ensure the efficient operation of the Sichuan office and pilot units for science and technology promotion, and contribute to elevating Sichuan’s governance and development to a new level.
