On July 31, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special study session for the Party Branch’s theoretical study center group, focusing on “Accurately Grasping the Chinese Characteristics, Essential Requirements, and Major Principles of Chinese-style Modernization.” The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager. All members of the Institute’s Party Branch theoretical study center group attended the session, and the head of the Party and Mass Work Department was invited to observe.
At the meeting, Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch Committee of the institute, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union, led the study of selected chapters from “Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” and “Selected Excerpts from Xi Jinping’s Discourses on Investigation and Research.” He also conveyed and studied the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of Sichuan Province, as well as the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee.
The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on Chinese-style modernization are rich in ideological and theoretical substance. They profoundly clarify the major contemporary questions of what kind of socialist modern power we should build and how we should build it, providing scientific guidance and fundamental principles for fully advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization.
The meeting emphasized that, as we embark on a new journey toward Chinese-style modernization, geophysical exploration must achieve high-quality development by proactively integrating itself into the broader context of the times and development. It is essential to consciously apply the ideas, perspectives, and methodologies embedded in General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discourses on Chinese-style modernization to guide and propel geophysical exploration to a new level.
At the meeting, Yu Changheng and Gu Zhiwen delivered keynote speeches centered on the conference theme and the findings of the research survey, while other colleagues shared their insights and reflections from the study.
