The Institute of Geophysical Exploration and the Geological & Mining Group Hold an Exchange and Symposium.
On July 18, the Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group Geophysical Exploration Institute held an exchange and discussion meeting in the institute’s conference room with a visiting delegation led by Zhang Jingsong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Sichuan Geological and Mineral (Group) Co., Ltd.; Luo Qibiao, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Chairman; and Yang Shuyi, Member of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, along with members of the institute’s leadership team and heads of relevant departments, attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, Zhang Jinsong and his delegation focused on gaining a detailed understanding of the achievements made by the Institute of Geophysical Exploration in areas such as technological innovation, industry-academia-research cooperation, and especially the application of its core technologies in the field of metallic mineral resources.
At the symposium and exchange meeting, Zhang Jinsong, Luo Qibiao, and Yang Shuyi gave detailed presentations on the overall situation, development history, and key businesses of the Geological and Mineral Resources Group. The Geological and Mineral Resources Group possesses mineral resources and has a genuine need for geophysical exploration work. Given that the Institute of Geophysical Exploration boasts advanced methods, technologies, and equipment, all the leaders expressed their hope that both sides could leverage their respective strengths, focusing on the core business of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group, provide excellent service to the core industries, and strive for new breakthroughs in mineral exploration.
Zhang Guangda highlighted that, in recent years, the Geophysical Exploration Institute has leveraged integrated engineering geophysical technologies to open up markets for solid mineral and oil-and-gas services. The institute has actively pursued technological innovation and successfully applied core geophysical techniques such as wide-area electromagnetic methods and holographic electromagnetic methods. With its robust technical capabilities and high-quality services, the institute has established a strong market reputation. In response to the needs of the Geological Mining Group, the Geophysical Exploration Institute will adopt a results-oriented approach and provide comprehensive, specialized technical services. In the new round of mineral exploration strategic initiatives, the institute will intensify efforts to explore deeper and locate hidden deposits, thereby providing geophysical support to help the Group increase its reserves and boost production of mineral resources.
Both parties unanimously agreed that, despite significant differences in work content and models, the cooperation between the Geological Mining Group and the Geophysical Exploration Institute holds great potential. In the next step, both sides will strengthen communication and exchanges, collaborate with each other, leverage their respective strengths, achieve mutual complementarity, and jointly promote development, thereby making greater contributions to the high-quality development of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group.
