On February 22, 2024, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration successfully won the bid for the 2024-2025 platform soil and water conservation monitoring service framework project awarded by the Sichuan Shale Gas Project Department of Great Wall Drilling. This year’s bidding effort has gotten off to an excellent start.

The bidding process for this project was officially launched on the eve of the 2024 Spring Festival. The Geophysical Exploration Institute organized relevant personnel from the Water and Soil Conservation Design Department and the Business Department to carefully and thoroughly study the tender documents and prepare the bid documents during the Spring Festival holiday. Ultimately, the institute won the bid with a high-quality bid response.

This project’s construction area covers approximately eight drilling platforms, including Well 202H88. The main works include constructing well pads, establishing new clean production operation zones, building storage ponds, gathering ponds, blowout pits, well pad roads, and living quarters, among other related facilities. The project employs methods such as drone-based remote sensing surveys, on-site measurements, and document reviews for site inspections and monitoring. It comprehensively verifies the implementation status of vegetation measures (including completion rate, survival rate, and preservation rate) and the area planted with forest and grassland vegetation. The project also assesses the effectiveness of soil and water conservation efforts, re-examines whether six key indicators—such as the forest and grassland restoration rate and forest and grassland coverage—are met, and takes preventive measures to avoid soil and water erosion.

This successful bid not only ushers in a new chapter for the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s bidding efforts in 2024, but also vividly demonstrates the Institute’s proactive integration into the Group’s development and its strong contribution—through Sichuan’s geophysical exploration capabilities—to implementing the new development philosophy that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.”
