In 2023, under the strong leadership of the Group, the Geophysical Exploration Institute successfully completed all its economic targets and indicators. Its asset size has grown steadily year by year, its operational performance has remained stable and improved, and employee satisfaction has continued to rise. The institute achieved a 34.36% increase in operating revenue, a 10.47% increase in profit, and an 11% increase in employee income. Its asset-liability ratio stood at 50.82%, and the growth rate of state-owned assets reached 133%. With concrete actions, the institute has further enhanced the reputation of Sichuan Natural Resources Group’s geophysical exploration business—a “golden brand.”

The Institute of Geophysical Exploration firmly upholds the philosophy of "seeking development through scientific and technological innovation," and, leveraging the four young technical backbone innovation studios established under Academician He Jishan’s workstation, is committed to tackling the “bottleneck” challenges in geophysical exploration and related fields.
02 Boosting Research Enthusiasm
Strengthen the work of applying for science and technology awards.
The Institute of Geophysical Exploration currently holds 5 invention patents, 14 utility model patents, and 14 software copyrights. Seven research projects have received awards, including one first-class national award, one first-class award from a professional society, and one second-class award from a professional society.

The Geophysical Institute has been recognized as a Sichuan Province Innovative SME, a Sichuan Province Science and Technology-based SME, a Chengdu Enterprise Technology Center, a Sichuan Province Specialized, Refined, and New SME, and a member of the third batch of High-Growth Enterprises. It has also established the Sichuan Office of the Chinese Geophysical Society and hosted the unveiling and awarding ceremony for the Chinese Geophysical Society’s Science and Technology Promotion Pilot Unit, thereby receiving the official designation and becoming a leading force in geophysical exploration in Southwest China.

The institute’s trade union has been awarded honors by both the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions; four leaders of science and technology innovation studios have been recognized as “Qingyang Craftsmen.”
