The Group’s research and supervision team visited the Geophysical Exploration Institute to conduct a survey and oversight of Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts.

On July 28, the Second Investigation and Supervision Team of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group visited the Geophysical Exploration Institute to conduct an investigative supervision on Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts. Ding Zhengquan, head of the Second Investigation and Supervision Team of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group, Sun Xia, deputy head, and a delegation of five others attended the investigation.

The investigation and supervision team conducted a detailed study and gained insights into the Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts at the Geophysical Exploration Institute through methods such as individual interviews, document reviews, and symposiums.

At the symposium, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, focused his report on the institute’s overall situation, Party building, construction of a clean and honest government, efforts to combat corruption, and the implementation of disciplinary inspection and supervision responsibilities. Members of the investigation and supervision team then took turns delivering remarks, praising the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s achievements in Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts, production management, and corporate culture. At the same time, they put forward comments and suggestions addressing issues identified during the investigation and supervision process.

Ding Zhengquan fully affirmed the Geophysical Exploration Institute’s diligent implementation of Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts. The institute enjoys a clean and upright atmosphere, its leadership team is united, its cadre ranks are stable, its business operations are steadily developing, its expertise is highly specialized, and its development momentum is promising. Regarding the key tasks for the next phase, Ding Zhengquan emphasized the following: First, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of the current situation in integrity and anti-corruption efforts. The high-pressure anti-corruption campaign remains severe; we must cultivate awareness of integrity risks, firmly enforce responsibilities in business oversight, functional oversight, and disciplinary enforcement oversight, and enhance collaborative supervision. Second, we must deeply learn from the lessons of disciplinary and legal violations uncovered in recent years. We should leverage these cases to drive reform and improvement, strengthen integrity education, and intensify study of laws and regulations. Third, we must reinforce technology-driven leadership. I hope the Geophysical Exploration Institute will continue to use Party building as a guiding force for scientific and technological innovation, closely follow the cutting edge of technological development, further strengthen cooperation with academicians, and achieve breakthroughs in scientific and technological innovation and enhanced efficiency. Fourth, we must attach great importance to safe production and epidemic prevention and control. We need to raise our ideological awareness, implement and refine all measures for safe production and epidemic prevention and control, and strictly prevent any safety accidents or epidemic outbreaks.

Zhang Guangda expressed gratitude for the targeted guidance provided by the Group’s investigation and supervision team regarding the Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts at the Geophysical Exploration Institute. He emphasized that the Party members and cadres of the Geophysical Exploration Institute should further enhance their awareness, accurately grasp the political requirements of comprehensively and strictly governing the Party, strengthen their sense of responsibility and risk awareness, and earnestly fulfill the “two responsibilities.” They should promptly refine, sort out, and implement the opinions and suggestions put forward by the investigation and supervision team, ensuring that the Geophysical Exploration Institute successfully completes all tasks related to Party building, integrity and anti-corruption efforts with high quality.

On the afternoon of July 29, the Institute of Geophysical Exploration held a special meeting to organize members of the Party General Branch Committee, members of the leadership team, secretaries of various Party branches, and heads of relevant functional departments to analyze one by one the issues identified by the Group’s investigation and supervision team. They compiled a list of these issues, formulated corrective measures, and set specific deadlines for rectification, ensuring that all issues pointed out by the Group’s investigation and supervision team are promptly and fully addressed.
