On the afternoon of February 7, the 2022 annual meeting of the Party organization’s secretaries at the Institute of Geophysical Exploration—featuring reports on Party building work by Party organization secretaries, performance and integrity reports by the leadership team, and a democratic evaluation—was held in Chengdu. A delegation of four members, including Xia Tinggao, Deputy Secretary of the Group Party Committee and Director, and Du Yan, Head of the Party Committee’s Work Department, visited the Institute of Geophysical Exploration to conduct supervision and assessment. Members of the Institute’s leadership team, members of the Party branch committees, mid-level cadres, and employee representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party branch committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration.

At the meeting, Zhang Guangda delivered a special report on Party building work as the secretary of the Party branch committee, summarized the team’s work on behalf of the leadership team, and presented a personal report on integrity and self-discipline. In 2022, under the strong leadership of the Party and administrative bodies of the Group, the leadership team of the Geophysical Exploration Institute adhered to strengthening its own development as the foundation, consistently placing political development first. Guided by the Group’s overarching requirements and general strategy for high-quality development, the team continuously reinforced ideological development, business growth, and style of work improvement. Following the development strategy of establishing enterprises through quality, thriving through distinctive features, and strengthening enterprises through talent, the team took operations as the driving force, scientific research as the support, and management as the guarantee, striving to enhance product quality, expand markets, and build brands, thereby steadily promoting positive progress and achieving remarkable results in all areas of work.

Members of the company’s leadership team delivered detailed reports on their performance and integrity, covering aspects such as political quality, promoting high-quality development, strengthening work style, and Party building. They highlighted achievements and key strengths, thoroughly analyzed existing problems and shortcomings in their work, proposed solutions, and made scientific plans for the year 2023.

After listening to the report, the attendees from the Geophysical Exploration Institute conducted a democratic evaluation of the leadership team by secret ballot.

Xia Tinggao fully affirmed the work of the Geophysical Exploration Institute over the past year. He believes that under the leadership of the Party and administrative bodies of the Institute, all its staff have made commendable achievements through their hard work and dedication, developing five prominent strengths: First, the institute has achieved steady and efficient economic development, with outstanding results in operational activities; second, it has built unique core competencies in areas such as patent inventions and publications in leading academic journals; third, it has maintained a leading edge in specific fields like shale gas exploration and engineering surveys; fourth, it boasts a young cadre team that is vigorous, energetic, and full of vitality; and fifth, the institute enjoys a clean and upright working environment, characterized by harmony and stability within its ranks.

Regarding the next steps, Xia Tinggao requested: First, further strengthen Party building and promote high-quality development of the Geophysical Exploration Institute; second, closely align with the overall reform of geological exploration units across the province and contribute to the development of Sichuan’s resources; third, continuously foster a positive and upright environment and cultivate an outstanding cadre team.
