The Institute of Geophysical Exploration held the 2023 Work Conference on Party Conduct and Integrity Building.

The 2023 Work Conference on Party Conduct and Integrity Building of the Institute of Geophysical Exploration was recently held in Chengdu. Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager, attended the conference and delivered a speech. Zou Zhongping, Deputy Secretary of the Institute’s Party Branch Committee, Member of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Trade Union, presented a report titled “Focusing on Strengthening Accountability, Ensuring High-Quality Development, and Deepening the Promotion of Party Conduct and Integrity Building and Anti-Corruption Efforts.” Zou Zhongping chaired the meeting. Members of the Party Branch Committee, senior managers, mid-level cadres, and party members attended the conference.

Zhang Guangda called for the full implementation of the unified arrangements made by the Party Committee of the Group and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team stationed at the Group, closely aligning with the actual conditions of the institute, upholding the principle that the Party must govern itself and exercising strict governance over the Party in all respects, and steadily advancing efforts to build a clean and honest government and combat corruption.

❖ Enhance political awareness and strictly fulfill responsibilities. We must always prioritize political development, deeply understand the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments,” strengthen the “Four Consciousnesses,” firmly uphold the “Four Confidences,” and ensure the “Two Safeguards.”

❖ Strengthen Party conduct and integrity building, and uphold strict governance of the Party. We must vigorously support the disciplinary inspection bodies in their supervision and enforcement of discipline, ensuring that the primary responsibility of the Party branch committees and the supervisory responsibility of the disciplinary inspection bodies are effectively implemented.

❖ Uphold the principle of setting a good example and playing a leading role. It is essential to ensure that the “principal leader” assumes the responsibility of being the “first person in charge,” and that leaders in charge of specific areas shoulder “dual responsibilities” for their respective posts, thereby establishing a collaborative working framework where everyone shares joint responsibility.

❖ Attach great importance to the implementation of systems and effectively manage risk prevention. We must take systems as our foundation, dare to identify problems, pinpoint them accurately, and promptly issue reminders and corrections for any issues that are discovered.

❖ Strengthen integrity and anti-corruption publicity and education to solidify the ideological and moral defense line. We must regularly carry out disciplinary and legal education as well as cautionary education, firmly and persistently address the “Four Winds,” and effectively enhance the disciplinary awareness of Party members and cadres.

Zou Zhongping emphasized that, in line with the Group’s key deployment and arrangements for disciplinary inspection and supervision work, the Geophysical Exploration Institute should focus on four key areas of work.

First, we will further strengthen and implement the responsibilities for building a clean and honest government, and intensify supervision over “leading officials” and leading teams.

Second, we must strengthen oversight to ensure high-quality development, fully leveraging the role of “supervision of supervision” and promoting the integration and synergy of various oversight mechanisms.

Third, we will strengthen education and warnings on Party conduct and integrity, integrating Party conduct and integrity studies with actual production practices to make integrity education more relevant and down-to-earth.

Fourth, strengthen the building of disciplinary inspection organizations to provide organizational support for better fulfilling the supervisory responsibilities in Party conduct and integrity building.

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the speech delivered by Xu Zhiwen, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Group, at the Group’s Work Conference on Party Conduct and Integrity Building, as well as the content of the report presented by Tu Xiaozhong, Head of the Group’s Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team, Member of the Group’s Party Committee, and Secretary of the Group’s Commission for Discipline Inspection.

At the meeting, the Party Branch Secretary and members of the Party Branch Committee each signed the Responsibility Reminder Card for Integrity and Clean Governance.
