The Institute of Geophysical Exploration and the China Electric Engineering Corporation Urban Institute held an exchange and symposium in Nansha District, Guangdong Province.
From June 13 to 14, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, led a delegation to Nansha District, Guangzhou, to hold a symposium and exchange with China Electric Engineering Construction Group Urban Planning & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Urban Institute”).

Sun Dadong, Chairman of the Urban Institute, welcomed the visit by Zhang Guangda and his delegation. He provided a detailed introduction to the Urban Institute’s development journey, its production and operations, and its key areas of strategic focus. He also expressed his congratulations on the recognition that the Geophysical Exploration Institute has received from local governments and industry peers for its work on projects such as urban flood prevention in Nansha, excavation monitoring, photovoltaic energy development in Guangdong, wind power projects in Guangxi, and highway surveys in Tibet. He noted that the Geophysical Exploration Institute boasts comprehensive strengths and expressed his hope that the two institutions could collaborate and co-build in fields including new energy, hydropower exploration, engineering surveys, urban pipeline detection, and smart city development, thereby contributing to the high-quality growth of the Urban Institute.
Zhang Guangda expressed his gratitude for Sun Dadong’s support in work and briefly introduced the Institute of Geophysical Exploration’s core business, key technologies, and developmental advantages. He stated that the Institute is willing to provide its core technologies, leverage its comprehensive strengths, and, based on the development needs of the Urban Institute, jointly create a model for cooperation between central state-owned enterprises and other state-owned enterprises.

After the meeting, both sides jointly visited the Nansha Planning Exhibition Hall to learn about the history and development trends of the Nansha District, laying a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the future.
Xi Jinghua, General Manager of the Urban Institute, Min Yongzhang, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and heads of the Marketing Department, Project Management Department, Water Environment Institute, and other relevant departments, as well as Yu Changheng, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, and responsible persons from the Engineering Exploration Department and the Business Department, attended the symposium.
