The Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a series of meetings, including a celebration marking the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and a “July 1st” commendation conference.
To celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, vigorously promote the great spirit of Party building, and further advance Party discipline study and education, the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held a celebration meeting for the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the “July 1st” commendation conference, a briefing on the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee, and an expanded meeting of the Party Branch Committee’s theoretical study center group on June 28 in Chengdu. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch Committee, Chairman of the Board, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute. Members of the leading team and all Party members based in Chengdu attended the meeting.
After the solemn singing of the National Anthem, the conference honored outstanding Communist Party members, outstanding Party workers, and advanced primary-level Party organizations that had emerged during the past year’s work.
Zhang Guangda delivered a special Party lesson on Party discipline titled “Upholding Comprehensive and Strict Governance of the Party and Promoting Education and Study on Party Discipline.” He urged all Party members and cadres to deepen their understanding of Party discipline by diligently studying and being eager to ask questions; to broaden the depth of their study through keen reflection and profound insight; and to demonstrate the effectiveness of Party discipline learning by being strict with oneself and meticulous in all matters. Furthermore, he connected these principles to the realities of the Geophysical Exploration Institute and explained the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Party Committee. He emphasized three key points: First, we must firmly establish the concept that “only by delivering successful projects can we secure a future”; we must go to great lengths to initiate and pursue projects, spare no effort in securing project approvals, and tirelessly communicate the value of each project to ensure that all project tasks are effectively implemented. Second, we must strengthen Party building work, highlighting the leading role of Party building and enhancing its empowering function to improve the quality of Party building. Third, we must carry out thoroughly the special campaign of “Three Transformations and Three Enhancements” and the “Integrity Cells” initiative, reinforcing our sense of responsibility, improving our ability to perform our duties, and using a solid working style to enhance both the quality and efficiency of our work.
Subsequently, the theoretical study center group of the Party branch of the Geophysical Exploration Institute held its third (expanded) study session for 2024. The session was themed “Strict Party Discipline, Strengthen Party Spirit, Prioritize Safety, and Enhance Awareness.” Participants studied the Communiqué of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in Sichuan Province, the “Regulations on Disciplinary Actions of the Communist Party of China,” the “Regulations on Disciplinary Actions for Managers of State-Owned Enterprises,” General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on work safety, the document “Deeply Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping’s Important Statements on Emergency Management,” and Xi Jinping’s remarks during the 12th collective study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, emphasizing the need to vigorously promote high-quality development of new energy in China and make greater contributions to building a clean and beautiful world together.
Gu Zhiwen, a member of the Party Branch Committee of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, Deputy General Manager, and Chief Engineer, delivered a speech sharing his insights on the conference theme, drawing on his personal self-study and integrating it with the content he had learned.
