Strengthen Cultural Confidence and Unite the Power to Forge Ahead | The Geophysical Exploration Institute and the Geological & Mining Group Jointly Organize a Thematic Activity to Promote Party Building and Youth League Development

To deeply study and implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Culture and the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour of Sichuan, further enhance the patriotic spirit and cultural confidence of Party members, cadres, and young League members, and jointly inherit and promote China’s outstanding traditional culture while pooling our collective strength for progress, on June 27, the Party Branch of the Geophysical Exploration Institute and the Party Committee of the Geological and Mineral Resources Group jointly organized a thematic activity titled “Strengthening Cultural Confidence and Gathering Momentum for Progress,” integrating Party building with mass organization development.

In the first half of the event, everyone visited the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan. Following in the footsteps of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s inspection tour, we toured exhibits such as “Chasing Dreams Across the Century,” “The Majestic Royal Capital,” and “Heaven, Earth, Humanity, and Gods,” gaining a deep appreciation for the charm of the ancient Shu civilization.

Everyone gained a comprehensive understanding of the work—including scientific excavation, heritage preservation, and cultural research—carried out at the Sanxingdui site, as well as the achievements that have been made. We deeply felt the awe-inspiring power inherent in Chinese culture itself and appreciated the meticulous, excellence-driven craftsmanship of the restorers of cultural relics. This experience has further deepened our understanding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s cultural philosophy, and has strengthened our sense of identity with and pride in the culture of the Chinese nation.
In the second half of the event, to showcase the positive image and contemporary spirit of the young cadres and employees, and to foster a favorable atmosphere of working together with unity, supporting each other, and achieving success through joint efforts, a series of team-building activities were carried out.

Before the event, Zhang Guangda, Secretary of the Party Branch, Chairman, and General Manager of the Geophysical Exploration Institute, delivered the opening remarks. He stated that this joint co-construction activity is a concrete implementation of the Provincial Natural Resources Investment Group’s special campaign “Three Transformations and Three Enhancements.” He expressed his hope that everyone would take this event as an opportunity to unite and move forward together, jointly pursue development, and collectively contribute to fulfilling the group’s primary responsibility for the exploration and development of science-and-technology-driven strategic mineral resources across the province.

Next, each team took turns participating in four fun sports activities: Smart Tower of Hanoi, Teamwork Together, Thunderous Drumbeat, and Collaborative Tower Building.

Everyone actively participated, collaborated in unity, and trusted each other. The atmosphere at the scene was lively and filled with laughter and cheerful chatter, quickly bringing the employees from both organizations closer together.

After the team-building event concluded, Zhang Jingsong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Geology and Mining Group, delivered a concluding speech. He stated that this thematic activity—combining Party building with mass organization development—was not only a vivid Party lesson but also a profound cultural immersion. Moreover, it marked the first in-depth exchange and collision of cultural genes since the two sister units were integrated into the Group. It also exemplified our commitment to implementing the Group’s special “Three Shifts and Three Enhancements” initiative. We must carry forward the fruitful outcomes of this event, infuse cultural confidence into our daily work, and let the driving force of progress propel us forward continuously.

This joint collaborative initiative represents an in-depth exchange and interaction among sister units within the Group. Moving forward, both parties will take this event as an opportunity to continue exploring a “co-construction, co-sharing, and win-win” working model, comprehensively promoting Party building that drives the development of youth leagues and other mass organizations. We will inspire广大 Party members, cadres, and young League members to carry forward and uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, demonstrating their sense of responsibility and commitment through practical actions as they strengthen the rare-earth industry, pioneer cutting-edge new technologies and methods in geophysical exploration, and foster new forms of productive forces. By diligently honing their skills and capabilities, they will contribute their strength to the Group’s high-quality development.
